After 30 years in the hospitality and service sector, starting at entry-level, working my way through every management position culminating in 15 years as sales and marketing director and then commercial director for a company whose annual turnover was over £35m.
I decided to return to consulting with the sole aim of helping new businesses and their owner's start-up and to help companies already trading develop and grow.

For new businesses
I will listen, assess, develop and expand your business idea assessing these initial thoughts to ensure it has a sound commercial basis. If it has then from that, we will transform this idea into a clear and concise business proposition leading on to produce business plans, set out detailed budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections. Numerous projects I have worked on have been self-funded by the owners. While others required significant financial backing either in the form of business mortgages or loans. The business plans and financial reports I produce have certainly helped that happen. Once finance, if needed, has been secured, I can then guide you through the remaining process, taking the initial plan through to reality.
For some it can often be internal issues that are suppressing profitability, while others it's not maximising revenue when they should, many companies need to review their costs base and discuss these with their with suppliers, and all companies should regularly review their operations and strategies to improve turnover. And more importantly, seek independent help in doing this. For most, at least one or two of these points will need attention if not all. Seeking and guidance is not a sign of weakness, ignoring issues that can often be resolved quickly, potentially putting you, your company and employees working future in jeopardy is.
