David was really helpful in understanding what I tried to get across, even if I didn’t quite understand he would help me fill in the blanks. He provided me with a clear set of steps to follow and what I had to do to help me progress and gave me a better understanding of why I was in the state I was in. Always there to contact outside of the sessions to answer any questions and really friendly and reliable.

It's all about relationships - primarily the relationship you have with yourself and how this impacts the relationships with others and the world. Sometimes these relationships become ruptured, and if not repaired, psychological disturbances may result. As a therapist, I will work with you towards restoration and promote psychological well-being and growth. As a life coach, I will facilitate transformation from the current you to the ideal you, you aspire to be.

Byron was extremely clear in his communication. And the way he informed me of what to expect over the course of the sessions, and the aims from those sessions, enabled me to see how the change I am looking for will be achieved.
Also, the guidance and insights he enabled me to see from the first session only bodes well for my expectation of how the rest of the sessions will go, in helping me to achieve what I want.
Highly recommended.

I had been in a relationship with my current partner for four years, which was proving to be very turbulent due to issues such as his depression, his extremely difficult divorce, house sale and non-cooperative daughter, all of which I was helping with. In 2019 I felt that I had done everything I could do to be supporting and loving but couldn’t see a way to rescue our relationship which is when I met Gary Napier.
I had never experienced counselling, and had always been of the opinion that you work things out yourself with the help of friends. However, I had reached the end of the road so, as a last resort, I turned to Gary. It was the best decision I ever made.
Gary has a wealth of experience, is compassionate, understanding, non-judgemental with a great sense of humour. His ability to make sense of endless, unstructured information and turn it into something constructive and positive was outstanding. I found it very difficult to share my innermost thoughts and fears but Gary did not judge, he listened and put me at ease. During our sessions he taught me how to cope with different situations, something I like to call a toolbox.
The result is, that two years later, my partner and I have moved forward in a positive manner. Naturally, challenges arise, as with any partnership, but the tools are there for ever to be called upon as and when necessary.
Thank you, Gary – from both of us

I am a qualified and accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor. I have always worked with people, for years as a social worker. I then made the choice to retrain as a psychotherapeutic counsellor, and for the last few years I have been managing my own successful counselling practice. In counselling I use an integrative approach, which means that I use my knowledge and experience of different therapeutic approaches, such as Person Centred Counselling, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Therapies (CBT), to find a flexible approach that best meets the needs of my clients.

Hi, my name is Sarah. I am a Qualified Integrative Counsellor / Therapist, which means I am trained in many theoretical approaches and can tailor your therapy to the style which best suits you and your needs. I believe that to get the most out of counselling, it is important to choose a therapist that is right for you. For it to be successful, you will need to find someone you can connect with and feel comfortable and secure opening up to.
Compassionate & result orientated, LOCAL and online (Zoom) based therapeutic service, offering you 121 counselling, couple therapy (for relationship & marriage) , anxiety group therapy and dilemma-specific day workshops.
I consider being able to help my clients through pain, stuckness and limitation and in to clarity, confidence and clear decisive steps forward , a ture honor and a privilege. Being able to witness this change, as the belief shifts in them and how they blossom forward is what makes my work a worth while joy!
You've heard this before! Greater impact comes when you throw everything you've got with the passion and purpose to make a difference. Carving your own destiny is one of the best way I could think of, to make this worthwhile impact in my clients without any other imposed limitation from others. Something I encourage in my own clients to do - paint their own canvas that they'd like to step in to with excitement of brighter tomorrow!
Once they have that free initial chat with me, with no obligation to take up session - they'll "Know" and experience , what it is about me that just makes sense and clicks as their choice of therapist to work with if I am the right person for their challenge, personality and needs. I let my clients do the picking, once they have a sense of me!
Yes! As an addition to face to face sessions - I use Zoom for online based sessions too. Handy as this helps, as I have clients everywhere in the UK & Ireland!
If this option interests you - please let me know.
Face to face Clinic space I use follows Covid-19 safety protocols.
I follow the latest government guideline on the Dos and Don'ts at any given time - including holding session online with any healthwise vulnerable clients, or asking them to wear mask during session etc

How much do Therapists cost?
This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.
This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.
Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.
How do I find the right Therapist?
You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.
It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.
How many sessions of Therapy will I need?
Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.
You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.
It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.
What should I look for in a Therapist?
Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.
You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.
What are the benefits of Therapy?
Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.
Can I get a Therapist online?
Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
