Royvon is a family business, established in 1959 in Merthyr Tydfil by Roy and Yvonne. Their son Darren grew up around dogs and started his dog training practice skills on the dogs that came to stay for boarding, to the delight of customers who saw their dogs progress quickly. Darren took over the family business at 16, developing the kennel services at Royvon into a Board and Train programme to help dogs of all breeds and personalities to live a happy, confident life.

Hi there, my name's Tracy, I am 57 years young and have many years experience in puppy training. I have owned Irish Wolfhounds to Westies, so I am confident with both large and small breeds. I offer one-to-one puppy training using positive reward and reinforcement. I live in Woolwich but I come to you. I cover all of London, plus some of Kent and Surrey too. All of the training is carried out through positive reward and reinforcement only.

Tracy was a life saver! We loved our little Enzo but were totally out of our depth, Tracy quickly gave us really practical advice, her lessons were informative, methods simple but very effective. She saved our Rugs from his peeing, out lamps from his chewing, and our sleep from his hatred of his crate. I could not recommend Tracy highly enough.

We’ve now finished our sessions with Victoria and had a genuinely good experience. She’s calm, knowledgeable, and communicates clearly without overcomplicating things.
Our dog responded well to her straight away, and the training felt practical and tailored rather than generic. It was useful having someone experienced observe things in real time and fine-tune what we were already doing.
Overall, a positive experience and definitely worthwhile.
All the best,

My two rescue dogs are responding well to the calm and un hurried approach of being able to take things at their own pace. They appear to enjoy the enrichment sessions and are forming a bond with Jessie which is lovely to see. Thoroughly recommend her quiet, relaxed way of dealing with anxious dogs putting them at ease.

We worked with Manvinder to help our rescue dog, Toby, who came from the streets of Greece. Toby had clearly experienced a lot in his past — he was reactive, fearful, and very self-conscious. He would bark excessively and lunge at other dogs or people out of fear, which made walks and daily life really challenging, especially after we had a baby.
From the very first conversation, Manvinder assured us that Toby’s behavior could be changed. It was hard to believe at first, but we trusted the process — and he was absolutely right. Session by session, Toby grew more confident and less reactive. Looking back, he’s like a completely different dog. More importantly, we also grew more confident as owners, and we can now enjoy so many things with Toby that felt impossible before.
One of the things we appreciated most is that Manvinder focuses on real outcomes — not just ticking off sessions. He was truly committed to helping Toby become a safe, happy, and well-adjusted dog. Today, Toby and our baby are best friends, and we feel peace of mind knowing we can trust him around our child.
We’re deeply grateful for Manvinder’s help, and we highly recommend him to anyone struggling with a reactive or fearful dog.

I can't recommend Emma enough. My new puppy had so much energy and I was really struggling with potty training. She showed me how to focus his energy and communicate effectively so that I now have a calm, well behaved but most importantly happy pup. She has taken so much stress out of the process, I'm very grateful.

For private sessions, contact me via my website. Next classes: Puppy course starting in Clapton, April 23rd £200. Booking directly via my website! My name is Freya and I am the founder of Grubby Paws Dogs, an East London-based dog training company. I've always loved animals. Having pets throughout my life, with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens and more on the list, it has always been my biggest passion.
As an animal lover, I’ve always loved spending time with our family dogs and I knew that my dream job would involve animals. I first wanted to be a dog trainer after watching a documentary on training starring Cesar Millan when I was a teenager. I’d grown up with dogs and found Cesar so inspiring.
I have a lot of experience in obedience training and I occasionally bring my client’s dogs to my home in London for residential dog training. Some owners feel guilty sending their dog away to my ‘doggy boot camp’ but these intense training courses are great because I can ensure consistency throughout. Plus, I ensure they are highly enjoyable for the pups too. It’s the best option for both owner and dog in the long run. I’ve also recently taken a course in gun dog training which I really enjoyed so I’m looking to take on clients with gun dogs-to-be. My favourite discipline has to be agility – I’ve been taking part in competitions with my own two dogs since I was 18.
Definitely the same aspect that makes residential training so successful: consistency. Often clients come to me saying ‘I don’t know why he keeps doing this! How can I stop him?’ The reality is that unless your dog knows which behaviours make you cross, they have no reason to stop. Dogs want to be obedient to their masters but the only way we can teach them how to do so is through association. This is how a dog learns – they don’t understand exceptions. Rules like ‘you can go on this sofa but not this one’ or ‘you can come upstairs when my partner is away’ simply will not fly!
