Hi and welcome to Simple Kent Funerals. We're an independent, modern funeral service - not part of a conglomerate, group or chain.
We are straightforward, positive, personal, creative,green-minded and eco-friendly people.
If you've done some research you'll already know just how inexpensive we are. Unlike almost all funeral firms, we don't profit from any products or services (coffins, urns, flowers, celebrants, service sheets, additional transport, recordings, performers, venues...) organised by us on your behalf - and you're free to order anything yourself if you want to. That's fair and transparent.
After we've discussed and agreed everything together we'll confirm it all in writing, so you're always in control of how your money is being spent.
You can speak to us over the phone anytime by calling 07806 613297 or email email@example.com
Helping families through a difficult time in their lives by supporting them in a caring and loving way.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A very close friend died and I helped his wife organise the funeral. The funeral directors we contacted were all very nice but had an old-fashioned formality about them which wasn't what our friend's family wanted. I was working at that time for a Community Interest Company social enterprise, working with people who have long-term health conditions, so I already had personal experience of supporting people at the end of their lives. I decided to set up my own, more up-to-date funeral service following research which showed me that almost all funeral directors in my area were traditional in their approach and offered only limited opportunities to people to do things more flexibly and simply.
Why should our clients choose you?
I think that's best described by the feedback and recommendations we received, including this one from Annabel on my Facebook page: "Toby and his team were fantastic when my husband's father, Jimmy died. Tim's mum wanted an uncomplicated and low key funeral and Toby really listened and understood exactly what she wanted. The simple service they put together was so personal, all the grandchildren got involved and Toby was incredibly sensitive in supporting and reassuring them. It was an emotional but really happy send off with lots of tears and laughter, perfect for Jimmy."
