This includes: - 24/7 availability - taking the deceased into our care in our private mortuary - assisting families at the Government Mortuary where required - meeting you / the family at a time and place most convenient for you to do the funeral arrangements - collection of all medical reports and documents - registration of the death at Home Affairs, including obtaining originals of the Death Certificate and Burial Order; - booking of burial or cremation - arrangement of a viewing if required; - transport of the coffin to the funeral service (if required) and attendance at the service - provision of all grave equipment, lowering devices, gazebo, chairs etc; - arrangement of the cremation (where applicable) - return of ashes and file of documents (originals and certified copies) - optional extras include assistance with printing of funeral pamphlets, provision of flowers, booking of celebrant, musicians, audio-visual equipment, repatriations, etc. In addition, we offer grief counselling and support to anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. We also have a range of remembrance products (memorial jewellery, books, gifts) to help families through their grief journey.

What do you love most about your job?

We love being able to help grieving families through the worst of times by providing caring, professional, fair and practical advice and assistance. Having families thank us afterwards as they look back on a sad and difficult time and the support we provided to them is what rewards us.

What inspired you to start your own business?

We want to do things better for families. We want to provide a modern, warm, caring and accessible funeral home that has none of the gloom and darkness often associated with funeral undertakers. We want to help families tailor make their funeral experience rather than forcing them to select from a menu of funeral packages.

Why should our clients choose you?

We go out of our way to ensure that our clients have a positive funeral experience. We take away as much of the stress and administration of dealing with a death so that you can focus on your family and loved ones.

We can do a lot of the engagement remotely but we do need to get signatures and documents from families. We are careful to limit face-to-face exposures during these times of Covid-19 concern.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

We follow strict health and safety protocols at all times. We adhere strictly to government regulations related to funerals and management of a deceased. Funerals are conducted with social distancing and sanitisation protocols observed.
