I sadly lost my husband of 25 years in October last year and it broke my heart. He was everything to me and I was struggling greatly to get used to my 'new normal' without him. I knew I needed help and to chat with someone I didn't know personally. I found Paul Butler through Bark and his photo and profile appealed to me as someone very relaxed and kind. I didn't want group sessions, I needed one on one and I needed patience and understanding. Paul was very professional explaining all about EDU Grief Therapy Counselling, I had a session once a week for ten weeks. There was never any pressure. I would admit to feeling very nervous on my first session as I had never had any kind of counselling before but I need not have worried. On my third session and thereafter I did feel a lift in my frame of mind, hard to explain, I still missed my husband so much but found I could talk about him without filling up. Paul covered grief in a way that it can affect not only the loss of someone you love but different aspects of it and explained grief comes in many forms. We covered relationships with different people in my life whether good or bad but at the end of the session I felt stronger, I knew I was still going to cry and have bad days but they are bad 'days' not weeks at a time. I can't recommend Paul enough to be honest, I cried a bit, I talked a lot and I listened to every word and I did come away feeling more in control and mainly, as i said before stronger. Thank you

Would recommend Catherine, she was very easy to talk to without any judgement. I was very skeptical about having therapy and she has given me a totally different out look on it.
