I am a fully qualified teacher of Acting and English (Language and Literature). With vast teaching experience spanning over 35 years, I take pride in helping and empowering every student to reach their full potential. I believe in 'reaching for the stars without losing sight of your feet'. My qualifications are BA (Hons), PGCE and LLAM (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). I teach age 5 to Adult, including GCSE and 'A' Level and am highly experienced in the teaching of LAMDA. Locally I operate in person but also teach Nationally and Internationally on the Zoom platform. Whether you want to see your name in lights or simply want to build your self-confidence, I will customise and prepare each lesson/session according to your specific needs and aspirations. I always ensure each following lesson builds on the previous one. I am well-organised, dedicated and engaging. I will motivate you and quickly form a friendly and professional relationship. I encourage students to contact me in between sessions with an questions or concerns at no additional cost. I am extremely passionate about teaching and aim to deliver enjoyable classes. I wanted to combine all my skills and experiences and use them in a positive way. I teach all ages. I teach English Language and Literature, Acting, Speaking, Mime, Improvisation, Singing, Piano and keyboard. I teach Private lessons both in person and online, nationally and internationally. I teach classes of all ages. I produce up to 12 productions a year. I don't think there is a job out there that includes all of this so I had to start my own business - and I'm so glad I did. It is the best job in the world!
My level, length and range of experience sets me apart from other teachers. My classes and private sessions are inspiring, motivational and fun. I recognise the unique qualities of each individual and tailor my teaching to enable each student to achieve their own personal full potential.
I work extensively on Zoom and am particularly looking to build up my international work - particularly in countries such as China.
During the pandemic all classes were moved to online. I still do a significant amount of online teaching. My 'live' classes all practice social-distancing and hand sanitising. The wearing of masks is now optional.

I naively thought that there wasn't a lot, if anything, that I did not already know about how to go about achieving my goals. I'm glad to say that I was wrong. Duncan at MonkeyHeads is a fantastic coach. He is a personal coach - he tailors what he says to your particular situation. I loved that he spent quality time getting to know me and giving me the support that I needed, and not wasting time with stuff that was not relevant. He's also a smashing bloke.

Duncan is really easy to talk to, and gave me practical support and encouragement while I was establishing myself as a freelancer. He took genuine interest in my goals and went beyond my expectations to help me achieve them.
