Hello, I'm Jennifer, a BACP-registered Psychodynamic Counsellor offering psychodynamic counselling in Crawley, West Sussex. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is troubling you at your own pace. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, anger, bereavement, relationship difficulties or simply feeling stuck in life, counselling can provide an opportunity to better understand yourself and create meaningful change. Many of the people I work with appear to be coping well on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected or exhausted on the inside. They may find themselves repeating the same patterns in relationships, struggling to express their emotions, or wondering why life feels harder than it should. My approach is psychodynamic, which means we look beyond symptoms to explore the deeper experiences, relationships and patterns that may be influencing your life today. Together, we can develop a greater understanding of what lies beneath the surface and work towards lasting change rather than simply managing symptoms. I have experience supporting clients with: • Anxiety and stress • Depression and low mood • Low self-esteem and confidence • Anger and emotional regulation • Bereavement and loss • Relationship difficulties • Life transitions and identity issues • Men's mental health • Shame, guilt and self-criticism I have a particular interest in men's mental health and recognise that many men can find it difficult to talk openly about their struggles. I provide a supportive and accepting space where difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences can be explored without judgement. Together, we can begin to understand the patterns, expectations and experiences that may have shaped how you relate to yourself and others. Above all, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling. I work with empathy, honesty and curiosity, creating a safe environment where you can feel heard, understood and supported. It takes courage to seek help. Whatever brings you to counselling, I am here to walk alongside you as you gain insight, reconnect with yourself and move towards a more fulfilling way of living. Working together, creating time and space to empower change.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my work is witnessing people reconnect with themselves. There is something incredibly powerful about creating a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where someone can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences openly.

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they gain insight into themselves, their relationships and the patterns that may be shaping their lives. Seeing someone move from feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected towards greater self-awareness, understanding and emotional freedom is deeply rewarding.

No two people are the same, and I value the uniqueness of every therapeutic relationship. Being trusted with someone's story and supporting them as they explore, grow and create meaningful change is what continues to inspire me every day.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My own experiences taught me the value of having the right support at the right time. This inspired me to train as a counsellor and ultimately establish my own practice, where I could offer others a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore whatever they may be facing.

I wanted to create a practice built on genuine human connection, where people feel seen, heard and accepted. Being able to walk alongside clients as they gain insight, develop self-awareness and create meaningful change in their lives is what continues to inspire me every day.

Starting my own business has allowed me to bring together my professional skills, values and passion for supporting others in a way that feels authentic and deeply rewarding.

Why should our clients choose you?

Choosing a counsellor is a deeply personal decision, and finding someone you feel comfortable with is important. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is troubling you at your own pace.

As a BACP-registered Psychodynamic Counsellor, I work not only with the difficulties you may be experiencing in the present, but also with the underlying patterns, relationships and experiences that may be contributing to them. This can help create deeper understanding and meaningful, lasting change.

I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, bereavement, relationship difficulties and life transitions. I also have a particular interest in supporting men's mental health and creating a space where men can explore their experiences openly and without judgement.

Above all, I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling. I work with empathy, honesty and curiosity, and I am committed to creating a safe environment where you feel heard, understood and supported throughout your journey.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I offer counselling sessions both online and in person.

Online sessions are conducted via secure video call, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Remote counselling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy and offers greater flexibility for those with busy schedules, mobility challenges, caring responsibilities, or who live further afield.

I work with clients throughout the UK, providing the same warm, confidential and professional service online as I do in person. All you need is a private space, a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.

For clients who prefer face-to-face counselling, I also offer in-person sessions from my practice at Time2Breathe in Crawley, West Sussex.

Together, we can decide which format feels most comfortable and appropriate for your needs.
