Sayyida Bano Coaching

As a motivational speaker, writer, mentor and a qualified coach with The Coaching Academy, I have been privileged to speak and deliver on several platforms over the years on a variety of subjects such as identity, women, motherhood, education, spirituality, self-development, health & wellbeing and empowerment. My experiences of working within the community (spanning over 17 years) with individuals and groups have led me to the conclusion that as women we have so much talent, ability and potential but due to the challenges of daily life we are unable to achieve the right balance to bring us more fulfilment, joy and happiness. Due to this reason, I have chosen a path to help empower women on their personal journey of self-discovery so they can live truly fulfilling and purpose-filled lives. As part of my 1:1 coaching and faith based mentoring service, I help my female clients heal and live truly empowering lives. I help clients to work on their mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing goals. As part of my services I offer: 121 Coaching (Minimum 4 sessions) Mentoring (Minimum 2 Sessions) Emotional Freedom Technique (Minimum 4 Sessions) All-Round (Combination of all 3 - Minimum of 4 Sessions)

What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to help individuals understand why they do what they do and why they are getting the results they have been getting. Once individuals come to a better understanding of themselves, they are able to make giant leaps in the direction that they truly want to go in life. It is being able to give people life skills and the tools which are needed to have truly fulfilling lives which make my job all the more meaningful and satisfying.

What inspired you to start your own business?

As a busy mother of five, coach, mentor and writer, I know personally the challenges of juggling many roles and duties at the expense of our own health and wellbeing. However, all this changed after I had to overcome the trauma of life-threatening surgery and depression soon after delivering my son in January 2017 in which I began to appreciate the blessing of my life and learnt to prioritise what is important to create more balance and happiness. I came to the conclusion that we all have a greater purpose beyond our immediate roles and we can do justice to all of them when we choose to do things in a certain way. At times we may need some support and direction on our journey and this is why I have a passion and interest in coaching and believe it truly empowers and helps individuals learn so much about themselves.
Since then, I have been working with many more women and have helped them to bring clarity, focus and direction to their lives and hope to help you become the very best version of yourself also!

Why should our clients choose you?

I have been on my own self-development journey now for many years and so am able to understand the struggles people experience when moving towards change. I am able to help clients to go into areas of their life in which they are stuck in and think they are unable to overcome the challenges within it and show them the tools and techniques to use to become more empowered.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I prefer to work remotely using zoom or audio. I send clients a meeting link before session and advise clients to have a notepad and pen to hand.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

90% of my work is done via zoom or audio call and where I do face to face sessions - we make sure that the covid regulations are adhered to.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
