Chadderton
I work with anyone who is suffering emotionally or mentally. The focus is on developing greater awareness and understanding; going through a process of discovering your way of coping and gently challenging ways that have become unhelpful; unlocking and dealing with events that may have been too painful in the past but slowly and with support.

What do you love most about your job?
The privilege of walking alongside someone in times of need and supporting them towards achieving greater empowerment and contentment. This tends to put people in a place where they become motivated to explore their own potential and gives people renewed hope for their future.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Counselling is something I want to do beyond retirement age. It’s a role I want to do until my health or own mental state doesn’t allow me to. However, as I get older it’s important to choose my own hours. Businesses take time to establish so I decided to set up my private practice last year.
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients will only benefit from counselling when they are at a place in their lives when they are ready and able to engage in the process. The therapeutic relationship is crucial to this process so it’s vital that clients feel comfortable with their therapist. I won’t be right for everyone.
