I offer Reiki therapy sessions, which are usually one hour, but the length can be flexible. I also teach Reiki at all levels. Reiki is a very gentle, non-invasive therapy which can create deep relaxation. It is great for relieving anxiety and stress and related issues. As it is so gentle, it is good to support people who are having conventional medical treatment, such as chemotherapy and can assist with reducing side effects. Reiki can be used for pain and physical issues, emotional issues and to support personal development. You can receive Reiki either lying down or sitting. The most important thing is that you feel safe and comfortable. You will not have to remove any clothing apart from your shoes. I will place my hands very gently on, or close to your body. People feel a variety of different things but it is not unusual to feel warmth or a slight tingling sensation. Quite often people talk about feeling deeply relaxed.
I just love being able to help people. Sometimes clients are facing big challenges in life, but they show an amazing capacity to move forward in their lives. It is an honour to be able to give them Reiki to support them.
I also provide Reiki as a volunteer at Eden Valley Hospice. The team of volunteers provide Reiki to support the hospice staff, as well as patients and their families and carers, which is hugely rewarding.
I have been inspired by my Reiki Teacher, Marion Dunlop. With her support, I have set up a business both as a Reiki Practitioner, but also as a Reiki Teacher. But going forward it is my clients who inspire me on a daily basis.
My Reiki Studio is easily accessible on the A596. There is free parking. Clients comment on how peaceful it feels in the Studio, which provides a perfect setting for you to relax. I allow lots of time between sessions so you will have plenty of time to talk, to enjoy a Reiki session and to feed back afterwards.
