How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

We show them how to discover what it is the truly want first.
No one wants to step out of their comfort zone, to lose weight just because they "feel fat."
No one wants to puts hours of dedicated weight training and disciplined eating because they "just want bigger muscles."

It goes much, much deeper and it's our job to help you discover your true reason WHY you are wanting to dedicate your time, effort and money to succeeding in these goals.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Belief that you can achieve it.
At first you may not believe you can but that's ok, that is exactly what you are paying us for.

We can 100% guarantee that no matter how bad you "think" you look or how out of shape you "believe" you are, we have had people in worse starting positions that you will ever be in and we have helped them achieve a body they wouldn't have dared dream about.

Once the belief is their, then it's focusing on getting you to take ownership of your actions. Once you realise that every action you take is down to your own choices, it frees you from blaming others for your past failings and allows you to have a renewed outlook and focus on your life.

Lastly it's dedication.
Just show up and do something.
Some days you won't give it 100%, it's what happens but as long as you have the belief and are owning the reasons as to why it did happen, you know that you have the power to change the next session BUT when you have the discipline to show up even when you don't want to, you know you will reach your goal.

What do you love most about your job?

I save lives every day and have been for over 15 years.

People may laugh at this comment at first but it's the truth.

The level of knowledge and experience that I poccess through the years of constant practice and countless certifications and workshops with some of the greatest strength and conditioning coaches and organisations, means I have been able to help people who had I not intervened, would be dead by now.

This is what THEY tell me.

From helping people build confidence and belief who suffered severe bullying to helping clients lose 30+ kg and give them a new start or helping countless clients rediscover proper movement and mobility again and enable them to walk pain free for the first time in years.

I truly believe I help save lives

What inspired you to start your own business?

This is now the third facility I have owned.
What started out as a hobby, slowly grew into an all consuming passion to help others achieve what they wanted but didn't believe they could.
As I have grown and matured my outlook on training has changed and so I have moved on and opened a new facility built upon my beliefs.
I know Primal is at long last where I want to stay.

Why should our clients choose you?

I truly believe I'm the best there is in this business.

To some that may sound like I'm big headed but it couldn't be further from the truth. I just have complete belief in my abilities and the abilities of my team

It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!

Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!

Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.

It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!

A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
