I joined primals 12 week kettlebell and bodyweight programme online. let me start by saying it has been life changing for me, from someone who was what I would call a fast food junkie to conciously making better choices and training 3 times a week consistently. this was amazing for me as it gave me the push to do it from the online group to Pol holding me accountable. granted I tried to hide behind silly reasons for not eating vegetables or healthier but after a day or two or so Pol saw through this, and called me out and hit me with a few hard truths. (Ones i didnt like hearing but needed to badly). I would highly recommend primal to anyone looking not only to get in shape but to change there mindset and their lifestyle. this programme has changed my entire outlook on the gym work and on lifestyle choices alongside investing in myself. We pay for car insurance and pay all out these sorts of things to look after our property but do we ever invest in our own future or put the money into ourselves. Top Quality Coaching Online with instructional videos and daily feedback if and when needed. When I joined Primal in January, I was 53 going on 70. This was another annual New Year Resolution to get fitter. This is the first time it's lasted more than 4 weeks . .. 7 months and still going! In that time i've dropped 1 and a half stone and a couple of waist sizes. I’m even feeling young again Result! Guys Primal is simply a great gym. Personally I was getting tired of unstructured gym sessions and often went through periods of over training or under training and often spent more time on the muscles that looked good than the ones that I needed or I found difficult to exercise. At Primal all the sessions are aimed at improving your whole body and the sessions are kept varied and change regularly to keep it all fresh. I've been to many gyms over the years but this is something different. If you are looking to leave feeling like you've actually achieved something, and know you are doing the correct exercise for your body type then Primal is the gym to join. The instructors are great and know each individual and what they are capable of. The workouts are tailored to your indivudual needs and technique is their priority! I had not been to the gym in a few years so was a little apprehensive of what to expect! But I didn’t need to worry as Pol, Gareth and Lewis are outstanding in what they do and have a wealth of knowledge and experience between them. I liked that they make me feel that nothing is to much trouble and they have always time to explain and show the various exercises etc. I'd would be more than happy to recommend Primal hence the 5 star review. I have been training at Primal for the last 8 months and it is by a mile the best facility I have trained in. You are training with the same group who are all in the same boat and support each other and in Pol, Lewis and Kaja you have 3 coaches you push you on at your own pace and ensure your technique is correct. In the past I struggled to stay motivated in training but with Primal the team and fellow users are great craic and the programmes are enjoyable - you are working hard without realising it. More...

Just completed my 8 weeks personal training sessions with Gareth. I have absolutely loved it! I have lost weight, dropped a dress size and just feel stronger and so much better and more confident with myself! Gareth really helped me with my breathing and eating habits aswell as training!!! It is great being able to send photos of my food to Gareth and he always replies (no matter what time of the day) to make sure you are eating as healthy as you can! Not like a regular gym! I had known Pól for a few years through MMA and had even done a few weeks group training with him, so I was excited to see his new place. Meanwhile another guy I knew from coaching tennis, Ross Reaney, was working on the logo for the Ulster Tennis Academy. He became aware of Pól and joined the Primal team, and so I did too.

Ross trained me for six months and really in my head, it was about me getting fitter/stronger. What it became was a life challenging and changing journey for me to seek out what I want in life. I did get fitter and stronger, and became Irish champion in my sport for the first time in my life, but I also took control of myself. I stopped complaining (most of the time!) and started to take responsibility for my own life and happiness. At times it wasn't easy, and Pól was always there to offer his tough but truthful love. I even shaved my head to look like him (and I'm much better looking �), but I enjoyed being in an environment where everyone was friendly, encouraging and took responsibility for their own improvements.

Now I'm doing exactly what I want job-wise with plans to make a real difference in others' lives. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ross, Pól or any of the Primal coaches to anyone who has wished they could be something more than they are.

I was with primal for just over a year. Hands down the best place I have been to for knowledge and support.Always had problems with the stomach area (kangaroo pouch I call it) and within months of being with primal this problem area was gone. I felt good in myself. The guys can't do enough for you. No matter what shape/age/capability you may be, you will feel at ease here. Loved it and I have seen good changes in my strength and body. I have been at Primal for 5/6 months and have to say it's the best thing I have ever done. I wasn't really a gym goer, put off by other people that knew what they were doing and in good shape. Have to say I never experienced that in Pol's gym. Made me very welcome from day 1 and didnt have the piss taking out of me too much for not knowing what a squat or KB reverse lunge was (Still dont). In all honesty I have never felt better. Healthy body, healthy mind. My performance in work improved as well. I would advise everyone to give it a go. More...

He is an incredibly enthusiastic coach who loves his job and is dedicated to helping his clients improve not only their fitness levels but their mental well being. I have been going to commercial gyms for a few years and never felt completely comfortable in the weights area as it was always overflowing with men donning big biceps and chicken legs. As soon as I stepped into Primal, I felt at ease and that I belonged there- and I'm sure everyone else would say the same!
The coaches are so welcoming and more than willing to help if you're struggling to get the right form.
I love the style of training in Primal, with strength and movement as the focus. In saying that, although not all of the programmes are focused on getting 'ripped' in 12 weeks, I guarantee you'll get into the best shape you've been in- I certainly am! When you go for a session, not only do you get tips on training, but nutrition and mindset too. Everyone is so passionate about training, it makes you enjoy the process too, particularly in a group training environment.
But I've left the main reason for going to Primal until the end...to see Pól (and if he's in his tutu, even better �)

Primal is much more than a gym, its a community. I train at Primal in the mornings before going to work and it really sets me up for the day. I feel great. I was in a bad way at the beginning and the coaches really helped me. They have some of the best coaches in the country and they put everything in place for me to succeed. All i needed to do was show up, listen and commit. I did and the results have been astounding. Its been a real life changing experience for me. After going to the gym for about a year now, you'd think I would know what I'm doing! .. Turns out I haven't got a clue and my technique and range of movement is very poor! .. With Pol's extensive knowledge, I have seen the importance of it all! Found my lower back was always sore after training and after every Primal session, it's 100% .. Came to Primal last August a sad, decrepit 60 year old. Now nine months later I'm a sad, fit 61 year old! I've tried getting fit at various times previously but to little avail. Primal is not your ordinary gym. It's extremely extraordinary!
After 2 back surgeries they took the time to assess and really think what I needed personally. Back to basics in movement, progressing through to weights and now I'm capable of most things. Always made me like I was in safe hands and explained the 'why' rather than just the 'how'. Which really builds needed confidence. By far the most advanced training environment I've experienced. The knowledge of the staff extends well beyond the norm with methods used pushing past conventional training. The skill set and experience of the team is superior to most, if not all, gyms in the area. I joined Primal 3/4 months ago having been in multiple gyms in Belfast and Lisburn over the years. There nothing wrong with other gyms but my fitness / strength never really changed. I had heard great reports about Primal and thought I would give it a go - it hasn't disappointed. I joined the Free Range Humans 06:00am group and now benefit from great training from Kaya Pol and Lewis. Have been really pushed and since then my mobility and strength has really improved. Working in a small group to you benefit from support and encouragement from fellow members.Why else would you want to get up for a 6:00am class?! Top marks Primal ! . More...

I started going to primal for a 3 wk body challenge. Loved it that much signed up again and continued to train there for about 6 mths. great gym, pol is a very knowledgeable coach, I trained with pol for 7 years, from when I couldn't even do a press up on all fours and a complete cardio head to being able to do pull ups and realising effects over training. pol always bringing latest training methods, keeping training varied and interesting. and craic is sweet. if only he baked......... Great gym with fantastic, extremely passionate and super smart coaches. I might be a little bit biased though. Highly recommended to anyone looking to improve their strength, mobility and overall health while being a part of a great community of equally committed individuals.

I was a professional MMA fighter and coached the sport for many years when and before I owned Fight Academy Ireland. This is where I found my love of understanding all things strength based. Believe me, if I can get professional fighters in condition, I can do the same for you

When you are over 30 and have kids, your training suffers. Your body is older and can't cope with the added stress of training on top of managing a house, working, worrying about kids, bills etc.
If you train like you use to or if you begin training and do generic classes like spin, body pump etc, the one thing that will end up happening is injury.
