How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

A healthy diet is one of three key pillars to happiness as I call them (the other 2 are sleep and exercise). On the simplest level diet (food) provides our bodies with energy along with nutrients required to live, grow and function properly. Diet also contributes to our hormonal balance, which then contributes to our emotional state (linked to our moods). This means diet can contribute to our mental well being. An optimal diet can also help maintain a healthy weight but also reduce the risk of disease e.g. cancer and heart disease.

What do you love most about your job?

Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than helping people achieve good health and wellness. I’m a great motivator and can adapt my approach to different personalities. I also thrive on creating networks and have a strong ability to communicate complex nutritional advice to people from diverse backgrounds. Seeing people transform themselves through healthy eating and lifestyle changes gives me a profound sense of satisfaction. We live in the age of misinformation, too much scientific jargon, science constantly updating. The layman gets confused. What I love about my job is the fact that I get to help people cut through the BS by simplifying for everyone, in a fun and engaging way. Sharing the gift of good health.

What inspired you to start your own business?

What began as a desire to make myself holistically healthy, through a regime of exercise and proper nutrition, soon became a passion to learn all I could about the science of bodily wellness through a balanced diet and when required vitamins, nutrients, and supplementation.
I worked in many places after graduating from Kingston University. I was Chief nutritionist for the Queens Pharmacy in London, I worked in hospitals, weight management programmes including the finance industry.
However something was missing, a holistic approach to health and well being. I learnt a lot from all my previous jobs hence I decided I had enough experience and knowledge to start my own business. A business that would allow me to implement the holistic approach (mind, body & spirit).

Why should our clients choose you?

Part coach, part mentor, and part expert consultant, I will help you understand in detail the impact that stress and poor nutrition can have on your health and happiness. As you learn to eat more mindfully and be conscious of what you are putting into your body, you’ll find that every aspect of your life will improve; you’ll sleep better, have more energy, brighter eyes and clearer skin, feel more positive and have the emotional resilience to cope better with depression or anxiety. You’ll also realise that your exercise regime is having a bigger impact than ever before: you’ll feel fitter, stronger and find that you’re able to train harder, and for longer.
My service is entirely bespoke and personalised to my individual clients. Together we’ll ensure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs through a balanced diet and target supplements, and I’ll ensure you stay motivated as you adjust to a new regime.
