Hove Hypnotherapy

I help people who are suffering with anxiety, stress, low mood, trouble sleeping and a variety of other issues. I have particular experience in helping the mental well-being of people affected by cancer. Through a combination of talking techniques and deep relaxation, I can help you understand why you are feeling the way you are, and help to get the real you back – calmer, happier, more relaxed… Solution-focused hypnotherapy is a forward-looking therapy, focusing on where you want to be and what you want to achieve rather than analysing or dwelling on your problem. Together, we can achieve great results within a relatively short time - sometimes just a matter of a few weeks. Prices vary - packages available. Please ask for details.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping people feel better! I get such a buzz seeing someone making changes that genuinely improve their lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

The obvious way forward once I qualified in Solution-focused-hypnotherapy was to set up in business and start to make an immediate difference to people's lives.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have worked in the caring professions for decades and have a genuine concern for people's health and well-being. I have a friendly, relaxed and empathetic approach, whilst fully maintaining professional standards and boundaries.
Furthermore, I trained with CPHT, an excellent training establishment, and I have the gold standard HPD qualification, so that you can be fully confident that you are in safe hands with me.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes! Since the beginning of the pandemic I have a lot of experience delivering therapy online. I have to say, it works extremely well and is often more convenient for the client.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

It goes without saying that I take public safety very seriously. Face-to-face appointments are only undertaken according to strict government and industry guidelines and with a full individual risk assessment. Comprehensive Covid 19 policies and procedures are in place and kept regularly updated to ensure your safety.

Hypnotherapy FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the hypnotherapist holds.

Your professional hypnotherapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted hypnotherapist today.

Firstly, you'll have a conversation with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree on what methods your therapist will use. Afterwards, the hypnotherapist may lead you into a deeply relaxed state using agreed methods to help you towards your goals. For example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit gradually bring you out of the trance.

You are fully in control when under hypnosis and don't have to take on the therapist's suggestions if you don't want to. If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state. Most people expect to be put to sleep or to forget what happened afterwards but the opposite is true. You're fully aware the whole time of what is happening.

This is dependent on both your hypnotherapist and your circumstances. One-off services such as smoking cessation or gastric band hypnotherapy can last around two hours, while a general hypnotherapy session will usually take about an hour.

The duration of therapy will really be dependent on your circumstances and issues. Some people may require a longer-term approach with regular weekly sessions. Your hypnotherapist will let you know how many sessions they feel you might need when you start therapy and will be flexible when it comes to decreasing or extending the number of sessions according to your progress and needs.

There are currently no guidelines in place stipulating the training and qualifications a hypnotherapist must have in order to practice. Industry guidelines recommend that individuals should have completed at least an appropriate diploma or have completed a course that involved a minimum of 450 learning hours, of which 120 hours must have been face-to-face.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their hypnotherapy services.

Hypnotherapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with anxiety, depression, anxiety, PTSD, obesity, addictions, fear of flying, public speaking, stopping smoking, insomnia, weight loss amongst others. When combined with methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), valuable healing work can begin as quickly as one or two sessions.

You might be surprised to hear that hypnotherapy can be delivered remotely over the phone, through an online video chat platform, or with pre-recorded sessions sent by email.
