One of the things I like best about my job is that I get to use my problem-solving skills to help individuals reach personal and professional goals. I'm learning a lot. We find out more and more daily about how the brain works and the field of neuroscience.
Hypnotherapy has a better success rate than any other type of therapy. In a 1970 study, Alfred A. Barrios found that hypnotherapy was 93% effective after only 6 sessions, compared to 72% with behavioral therapy (after an average of 22 sessions), and 38% with psychotherapy (after an average of 45 sessions). This led him to conclude that for changing habits, thought patterns, and actual behaviour hypnosis was not only the most effective method, but that it needed less time / sessions than any other type of therapy.
