What do you love most about your job?

Our vocation gives us the opportunity to be with animals for a living. We take pleasure going on a dog walk, One to One walking is preferred unless there is more than one dog in the family, as not all dogs like to socialise. There is nothing more heartwarming than receiving that excited welcome when opening the door to the pet who is so happy to see you, whether a dog needing a visit/ walk, or a hungry cat waiting patiently for his tea!

What inspired you to start your own business?

We love animals. We love walking them, playing with them, looking after them. We’ve done it all our lives with our own pets, so what could be better than doing that for a living

Why should our clients choose you?

We have a lifetime of experience in animal care with our own pets. We consider it an honour to be chosen by you to take care of your pet at the times that you can’t. We would not only take care of them, but we would give them lots of cuddles and love. 💕 We are proud to be part of one of the largest pet care companies. We have successfully completed basic training in a running veterinary surgery. We are trained in pet nutrition. We have public liability insurance, and for your security we crb checked.

The price of hiring a dog walker will depend on the area of the UK in which you live, with prices typically higher in the South of England and particularly in London. The cost of hiring a dog walker will often be lower in the North of England and in Scotland and Wales.

The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.

It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
