People choose to come to counselling for many reasons. The challenges that we can each experience are, at times, both diverse and universal in their natures. For some, sadness, anxiety and feelings of self-doubt can be overwhelming and hard to shift, while others may simply be aware of a deep uncomfortable emotional experience that, although hard to define, shadows their life unconditionally.

What I love about my job is supporting people to transform their lives, feeling more content and happier. Also helping people deal with what is sometimes life long problems which affect their lives and how they interact with people. Often sharing some of the more difficult things in life is the first step in moving on from what been darkness in your life. However, where there is darkness there is always the other side of the coin which is light and hope. Even those who are facing the most dreadful situations, often do so from a place of having survived. The key to taking life forward is to live and be the best version of you. That best version will not be static, but grow as therapy progresses. Change is possible.
I have spent a lifetime working for the NHS and still do. I have held numerous roles from practitioner to manager. However, my preference is working face to face with individuals and couples. It is an absolute joy to see the changes and insights that can be brought about by the right therapuetic engagement. It is hard work for both of us, but rewarding.
I am highly qualified and have significant experience in working both privately and within the NHS.
I will always work with you in a gentle but challenging way, as I believe this facilitates your personal growth.
I offer flexibility in appointments wherever I can.
I have a proven track record of working with people through crises and with long term problems.
I offer one-off crisis sessions
I never ask a client to review me on any site, as our work is confidential.
