Mandy helped me overcome personal mental health issues and helped me develop a positive outlook on my life. She has a kind and genuine caring nature and will do what ever she can to help you. She comes highly recommended from me as she was the only one who helped me when traditional therapies could not, the havening technique is absolutely amazing the concept most people will not understand but experienceing the therapy I can 100% say that it works and in an extremely short period of time especially when compared to the traditional methods. Mandy also taught me the technique to self haven so she enables you to begin to take control of your own recovery on a daily basis. I also was introduced to the oils which have had great benefits especially in calming and reducing anxiety and will continue to use them as much as possible. Thank you Mandy and your definitely highly recommended in my books :) x

I started working with Scott in May 2021. I approached Scott as I had identified potential stressors within my staff team with the onset of the pandemic and all that it may bring!
Scott and I spent several months working on “me”. This was difficult but it made me understand why I tick how I do and helped my understand how to accept the possitive achievements in my life. When Scott started working with my team the feedback was overwhelming bar 1 member of staff, my challenging member of staff, or as I thought. If at the time Scott would have told me this staff member would be in line for a promotion I would have thought him mad! Now 5 months on my challenging staff member has totally took a 360 degree turn for the better and is starting her role as deputy manager on Monday 8th March
I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Scott and the amazing work he does

Finished contracted sessions with Angela today, have to say I had a few major breakthroughs, and definitely helped me on my journey of personal awareness and self discovery. Angela provided an environment that I felt comfortable and safe free from judgement, with full acceptance to explore the issues that were challenging me in my life. I definitely feel more empowered and have gained clarity and understanding of different aspects of my life that had been challenging me and weighing me down, before our sessions commenced. Would highly recommend.

I'm a qualified and accredited counsellor with 17 years' experience helping people feel better and more in control of their lives. I have a down-to-earth approach, working alongside you towards goals you set. Counselling works through the close attention we give to who you are and what's important to you, which in turn leads to improved self confidence and coping. You will develop your sense of clarity and focus, your "can do" attitude will increase, your choices will be more fulfilling and you'll have a good idea of where you are heading and what your hopes are for the future.
• Does Eating Rule Your Life? • Do you think about food & weight all the time? • Do you place too much self worth in your weight and body image? • Do you eat in secret? • Do you binge or emotionally overeat? If you feel that you have an unhealthy relationship with food, then you may wish to explore this is in greater depth. We understand that the thought of coming to therapy may be daunting but we're confident your fears will be quickly dispersed. Sessions are held in a safe and confidential environment where you are free to truly express yourself. If appropriate, we may ask you to keep a food diary for a few weeks, so we can highlight patterns of behaviour that cause you distress, and explore the symptoms you are experiencing. We look at the big picture of how your nutrition is affecting your physical and mental health and suggest small changes to eating and lifestyle so you can feel better. We work with you to bring unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour that are connected with food into awareness . We will support you in teasing apart these unhelpful connections, providing you with skills to create change in your life. Each sessions lasts 60 minutes and therapy duration varies depending on individual needs. As an accredited therapist, Claire Feldman works within the ethical guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Should she feel that your needs would be more appropriately met by an alternative service, an onward referral will be made.
I work exclusively with women and am passionate about helping them to overcome their food, weight and body image issues.
Claire has been working as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) for eight years and has been constantly astounded at the significant improvements in her clients’ well-being made by dietary and lifestyle changes, to compliment therapeutic intervention. Claire believes it was inevitable that she would found Eatology, not just because of her passion for all things wellness related but due to her own personal journey with food, weight and body image issues.
As an insecure and overweight child, Claire grew up feeling uncomfortable in her in skin and believed weight loss would be the solution to all her problems. After a few half-hearted attempts at dieting in her early teens, she decided that enough was enough and at sixteen committed that she would lose weight for good and never be a 'fat girl' again.
After a relatively short period of calorie restriction, the weight began to fall off and Claire thought she had it all figured out until, after around two and a half stone weight loss, the scales stop moving. Fear of weight regain set in and so she embarked on a rigorous daily exercise regime to keep the scales below an 'acceptable' number.
Months of deprivation and over-exercising took their toll until one day she 'cracked', reached for the tub of ice-cream and didn't stop eating. Full of self-loathing and racked with guilt from her indulgence, she began purging as a means to redeem herself. This pattern continued for several months until Claire recognised that she couldn't continue with this cycle of misery.
In time and over the years that followed, Claire began to heal her relationship with her food, mind and body. Although she still, like most women, has the odd 'fat' day, she now follows a path of contentment and self-acceptance.
Claire feels passionately about helping women to avoid the cycle of dieting misery and recognise their worth is so much more than a number on the scales.

How much do Therapists cost?
This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.
This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.
Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.
How do I find the right Therapist?
You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.
It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.
How many sessions of Therapy will I need?
Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.
You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.
It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.
What should I look for in a Therapist?
Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.
You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.
What are the benefits of Therapy?
Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.
Can I get a Therapist online?
Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
