  • What to expect from a one on one dog training class - Once you’ve found your dog trainer in Birmingham, City and Borough of Birmingham, you’ll book an appointment either ask them to come to your house or go to their studio. From here you will begin weekly (sometimes more often) classes to train your dog. You will learn how to become assertive over your dog using tone of voice and body language, allowing you to work towards a more positive relationship with your animal.
  • What to expect from puppy training classes in Birmingham, City and Borough of Birmingham - Training your puppy is often a lot easier said than done! One of the first steps to training your puppy will be learning how to housebreak them so that they don’t go to the loo inside. The best way to do this is to use puppy training pads to help ease your puppy outside with positive reinforcement. Once they’ve mastered this, you can take them to puppy training classes to help them socialise with other dogs. Here you will learn basic commands, recall and lead behaviour.

Yes Good Dog - Solihull

Yes Good Dog - Solihull

One of the first things I hear from the dog owners I work with is “my dog is great but …” Is your dog unruly, overly excitable, naughty, aggressive, reactive to other dogs, nervous, anxious, or noisy? Are the issues getting progressively worse despite your best efforts? Does your dog make you feel embarrassed, frustrated, scared or even angry? Are you worried about the future you have with your dog? Do you long for a calmer more balanced dog that you can enjoy your time with? Yes! Good Dog can help with one to one, quality dog and puppy behaviour assessment and training mentoring delivered in the comfort of your home. Dogs learn best through reward, enjoyment and consistency from their owners. My aim is to give you the knowledge and skills to address any undesirable or frustrating behaviours from your dog. I am a qualified dog behaviourist with an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviours and lots of experience with dogs, I can deliver an ethical, calm and affordable package of dog behaviour management solutions that fit around your life and is tailored to your dog’s needs. I can help you understand why your dog is displaying certain behaviours and assist you in guiding your dog into achieving better behaviours and work towards re-balancing the owner-dog relationship.

Marks modern dog training

Marks modern dog training

My dog training career started in 2012 with the Institute Of Modern Dog Training. I have done several courses which I have listed below.I am now a professional member of the Pet Professional Guild I am also a qualified Instructor for the Pet Dog Ambassador Programme. I have also attended Happy dogs Training adventures and Happy recallers taught by Nando Brown who was recently featured on channel four on a tv programme called rescue dog to super dog. Training dogs is not a job to me it's my passion, it has given me the opportunity to meet some wonderful people and their amazing dog's. The best part of my training is seeing the look on the owners faces when there dog has learned a new trick, I am still surprised by my own dog's when they have learnt a behaviour they are brilliant all dog's love to learn. Our beautiful collie (x) Jess inspired me to become a dog trainer, Jess was a rescue dog but she rescued me more than I her. Jess taught me how to read a dog's behaviour and from this we formed a remarkable bond which I am truly grateful for. Sadly Jess is no longer with us but I keep the memories and the vast amout of knowledge she shared with me. I will always continue to educate myself and learn new techniques to make living with your dog as enjoyable as it is for me with my own dog's.

Doggie School Days

Doggie School Days

Dog Behaviour problems come in all shapes and sizes. There is no 'one size fits all' remedy. Each dog has different experiences and associations during their lives and what causes a problem in one dog may not have caused the same problem in another. Dog owners may take their dogs to training or obedience classes but this may never fix the problem or may even make it worse as the root cause is never found. A dog may also behave perfectly well in the training class but when they get home its another story. This is why our services are one to one in your home and tailored to you and your dog not a classroom of people with differing individual needs. So, whether your dog is jumping up, destroying things, has a phobia, is fearful, aggressive or has any other unwanted behaviours we are here to help. "OUR JOB IS TO ESTABLISH THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, HELP THE OWNER UNDERSTAND THE CAUSE AND DESIGN A BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION PROGRAMME TO CHANGE THE BEHAVIOUR AND GET THE OWNER TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO APPLY IT." Or if you have a puppy that you want to give the best start in life, we can tailor a behaviour programme for you and your puppy to follow. This will avoid any future behaviour issues from developing. You may even be just considering purchasing a dog and need advice on breed suitability and training advice. We can help with that too.
