Over the years I have worked with all age groups and abilities of Clients and believe that anyone can make changes no matter what their level of perceived ability, disability or motivation is currently at. Apart from the usual requirements of Clients, other motivators for weight loss may be for health reasons, offshore medical requirements, or to reduce stress in joints due to Arthritis. Differing health related conditions may range from Diabetes, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol and risk of Stroke. Working to reduce excess weight and bodyfat, along with reducing levels of Bad Cholesterol and improving Body Composition can go a long way to alleviating risk of such. Stresses of modern life can result in Anxiety, Depression and subsequently result in unhealthy coping mechanisms. Regular exercise is said to be great help in promoting self confidence and the ability to cope on a daily basis. Sometimes if this is the case, motivation can be a big issue. One of the advantages of using a Personal Trainer is the accountability for attending appointments and therefore establishing and promoting a routine of physical activity, which is so important for an individuals overall wellbeing. I ensure that progress is made with each and every workout to achieve this. Sessions are one to one, and I look for progress with every workout, which you will achieve with my help! All sessions are tailor made to your own fitness level and condition, so even if you are new to exercise or have not done anything for quite some time - no problem. Book a block of sessions with myself and this will also include online dietary support via food diary every few days. From here I can give you feedback and guidance to help keep you on track. Results can be monitored by bodyfat and weight check each week to keep your results moving forward. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

First thing is to determine what the Clients actual goals are. The Clients own level of commitment is what is ultimately going to determine the results which can be obtained. I strive to make sure that every workout with a Client is progressive and is focused on achieving the Clients objective.
I record every workout with a Client and think this is important to be able to demonstrate the progress that is being made. Frequent weight and bodyfat percentage checks are carried out, along with monitoring of a food diary which I ask my Clients to keep. That way we can make adjustments to the programme and nutrition plan to keep results coming.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Rome wasn't built in a day! And neither is a great body. Clients have a wide variety of reasons for wanting to work with a Personal Trainer and its important to realise what the Clients actual expectation is. With your determination and my experience you can expect to get to where you want to be.
It is all about consistency. Regular attention and commitment to exercise, along with diligent focused effort on the nutrition side of things is what will get you the results you want.

What do you love most about your job?

I love to see the progress made with Clients and to know that I have made a difference to that. Very satisfying.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always been into fitness for as long as I can remember. It seemed a natural thing to do something I was interested in and make a career out of it.

Why should our clients choose you?

25 years experience as a Personal Trainer working with all age groups from 18-78. Vastly differing fitness levels and abilities.
As well as working with Clients who are looking to lose weight and shape up, I have also worked with Clients with various differing requirements. Some of these have been ranging from Clients with Heart Disease, Diabetes, Arthritis, Anxiety and Depression, Mental Health Problems, Paralysis, Stroke and also some of which have worked with me after injury.
No two clients are ever the same and I aim to work with each person as an individual with their own individual requirements and tolerance to exercise.
