How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Our gut holds the key to total wellbeing. When we heal our gut, we can improve our physical and mental wellbeing. The food we eat is responsible for many, many health challenges that we face today - often more than we realise.

Did you know that sugar cravings are driven by an imbalance of bacteria in our gut? If you correct this, you will find that your sugar cravings disappear.

What do you love most about your job?

Meeting incredible women who know they deserve more, helping them to see what's possible, support them to achieve their goals, feel more confident and fall back in love with themselves.

What inspired you to start your own business?

As an ex finance manager for companies such as Pepsi, Mars and Sainsburys, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the food industry and being a woman, and then a mum progressing through corporate world, I know how tough things can get.

As women, we often still feel that we have to be and give our all to everyone and everything, and this often comes at the expense of our own wellbeing and selfcare.

When I hit burnout, I decided enough was enough, retrained over several years in health coaching and nutrition so that I could help women to optimise their health, prioritise themselves and rediscover the incredible woman they have always been.

Why should our clients choose you?

Science is proving more and more that our gut holds the key to total wellbeing, healing many health conditions of both body and mind and even our longevity!

As a specialist in this area, I combine the power of nutrition with health coaching so that we not only heal your body but you will learn what nutrition is right for you and the tools and techniques to unlock positive habit change and master your mindset for lasting success.

Your specialist will be able to advise you on the full range of services available and will be able to help you select the best treatment for your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a specialist today.

Dietitians are the only health professionals regulated and protected by law. Registered Nutritionists can provide evidence-based advice and information about food and healthy eating. Nutritional therapists provide alternative treatment, based on the idea that the body needs 'healing' and 'correcting'.

  • Credentials - Find a specialist that has the credentials to support your personal needs.

  • Experience - Ask how long your Dietitian or Nutritionist has been practising and look up their background.

  • Gimmicks - Check your specialist is not supporting an unsuitable diet brand or supplement.

  • Right fit - Make sure they are upfront in the areas they specialise in and are able to make referrals if your needs are outside their comfort zone.

The minimum requirement for a Dietitian is a degree in Dietetics or a related science degree with a postgraduate diploma or higher degree in Dietetics. Nutritionists should have attended a course which is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN).

Before you choose either a Nutritionist or a Dietitian, you could read testimonials and read reviews on their website. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read reviews from past customers too.
