How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

A healthy diet is paramount for overall health and wellbeing as it supplies essential nutrients crucial for bodily functions, strengthens the immune system, and promotes overall wellness. By maintaining a balanced diet, individuals can lower the risk of chronic illnesses like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, thereby enhancing longevity and quality of life.

What do you love most about your job?

I am passionate about working individually with people, listening to their stories, and guiding them to embrace body kindness and care through positive nutrition and lifestyle changes. It's incredibly fulfilling to witness clients gaining confidence in their food choices, fostering a positive body image and relationship to food, and feeling more energised and empowered to prioritise their health and wellbeing.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I founded my business with the vision of establishing a clinic that integrates both physical health and mindset. Beyond just what we eat, I believe it's crucial to explore the reasons behind our dietary choices and how we approach food. My goal is to foster a positive and compassionate connection to food and encourage a kind relationship with one's body. In a landscape saturated with nutrition misinformation, I am driven to provide access to evidence-based nutrition guidance. My mission is to empower individuals to listen to and comprehend their bodies, promoting informed and sustainable health practices.

Why should our clients choose you?

I advocate a nutrition approach centred on addition, guiding clients to prioritise what they can include in their diets rather than fixate on restrictions. My holistic method involves addressing lifestyle factors and recommending suitable supplements when necessary. As a registered associate nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition (AfN), I adhere to rigorous standards in competence, professional practice, and evidence-based principles. This distinction is crucial because the title "nutritionist" lacks legal protection, allowing individuals with insufficient or no training to use it, underscoring the importance of my qualifications and commitment to quality care.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Currently, my clinic operates virtually through a secure platform called Practice Better.
