What do you love most about your job?

I get to meet some very amazing people with interesting conditions. I am tenacious about restoring health. Working with the client and getting the right solution is so rewarding.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I used to play the violin and before performances I would have a massage treatment. All were very good until one day my friend learnt a new technique called Tuina. She treated me for about an hour. An interesting, firm, pressured technique! Afterwards my hands had never felt so loose. The action in my fingers was so precise, accurate and fast it was one of my best performances.

So why had the world never heard of Tuina? Why were people walking around with ailments that could be treated by this amazing technique? Why were people suffering in long term pain when they needn't?
I had to learn the technique and share with the world.

WHAT IS TUINA?!!!
TuiNa Medical Massage
is an ancient form of Chinese deep tissue body massage. TuiNa as muscle therapy speeds up the bodies ability to heal itself and is performed over your clothed body. The moving of stagnation can increase mobility and provide pain relief by stimulating oxygenated blood flow.

Why should our clients choose you?

The treatments are long lasting. Many clients report how it made them more productive throughout the day enabling them to be more focused on completing outstanding tasks with ease.

Trigger point massage - Trigger point massages are best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, a specific issue or condition. Sometimes areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.

Reflexology - Reflexology is a great option for people who are looking to relax or restore their natural energy levels. Shiatsu massage - Shiatsu massage is best for people who want to feel relaxed and relieve stress, pain and tension.

Thai massage - Thai massage is best for people who want a more active form of massage and want to reduce and relieve pain and stress.

Prenatal massage - Prenatal massage can be a safe way for women to get a massage during pregnancy. It can help reduce pregnancy body aches, reduce stress and ease muscle tension.

Couple’s massage - A couple’s massage is a massage that you do with your partner, friend or family member in the same room. Other treatments such as pedicures, facials, and body scrubs are sometimes offered as part of a package.

Chair massage - A chair massage is best for people who want a quick massage that focuses on your neck, shoulders and back. A chair massage can also be a way to introduce you to massage if you have never had one before. This type of massage uses light to medium pressure.

There are a number of factors that are worth considering before choosing your masseuse.

  • Choice – It is important to consider why you want a massage. Do you want to find relief from chronic pain or are you just looking for a way to relax? Deciding why you want to get a massage will help you narrow down your options and find the right massage therapist.

  • Comfort- Getting a massage is a great way to relax both physically and mentally. It is easier to take advantage of this benefit when you feel totally comfortable. That is why you should find a massage therapist that makes you feel comfortable and at ease.

  • Recommendations – You are likely to have at least one friend or family member that has visited a professional massage therapist and read their reviews on Bark.

You can be confident that any of the Bark local massage therapists listed will give you a relaxing and therapeutic massage.

You could look for massage therapists with a Level 3 Diploma in Massage or Complementary Therapies. The Council for Soft Tissue Therapies (GCMT) is the governing body for massage therapy and recommends that all massage therapists have taken a full or part-time course.

Before you choose a massage therapist, you could read testimonials and read details of their services on their website.

You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read massage reviews from past customers too. This might also help you get some ideas for the type of massage you want to book.
