What do you love most about your job?

Dr. Barbara Rodwin’s Chiropractor: goals are to help you be free of pain, gain mobility, be able to perform whatever your goals are and to feel more energetic. You will work closely as a team with Dr. Rodwin to be able to attain optimum body function throughout the entire skeletal system, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nervous system, which will result in a new awareness of your body’s natural state of health and vitality. Dr. Rodwin has a threefold approach –treatment, prevention and maintenance– with an emphasis on overall health. Her activity in sport allows her to better understand and treat injuries.

Jessica massage therapy: training included extensive study in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, massage theory, professionalism, ethics, and proper home care in relation to cardio, stretching and strengthening exercises. She also completed a hydrotherapy course. Jessica has worked with a wide range of clientele and injuries, including sports injuries, developmentally delayed individuals, seniors, restrictive scars, tendonitis, muscle tension, headaches, adhesive capsulitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, Iliotibial band syndrome, nerve problems, spinal cord injuries, and pregnancy.

Ashley Massage Therapist: approach to the healing process is that it’s a continuous and creative journey that changes and flows with time. Having dealt with injuries and rehabilitation processes herself, she understands how hard it can be sometimes to continue with everyday activities while recovering from an injury. Her goals in massage therapy are to act as a facilitator to guide and help her clients through their own definition of health and recovery in a safe and proficient manner. She also feels it’s important to help people follow through with their passions in a preventative and pain-free way.

Andrew Massage Therapist: Due to his lifestyle as a runner and career hecame to learn the benefits of Active Release Techniques (ART). ART is a soft tissue technique designed to treat muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves by reducing scar tissue, adhesion's, and knots. The benefits of ART treatment were so clear and immediate that he pursued extensive ART training after becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Few RMTs in Ottawa have as extensive ART training as Andrew. Andrew approaches his goal of patient health by helping them achieve and maintain pain-free movement.

Samantha Physiotherapist: Background: all orthopedic and sports-related conditions. o Caseload demographic is widespread, from youth athletes in high level sports, to post-operative retired individuals in the community. o Wide scope of patient populations including: stroke, neuromuscular conditions, TBI, geriatric, cardiac, respiratory patients, paediatric, and MSK/sport related injuries. Much of her diagnoses are grounded in the body’s neuroanatomy, which examines the system as a whole, rather than joint per joint. In an assessment, don’t be surprised if your back and hips are examined when the ankle is what hurts.

Dr. Sarah Naturopath:As a doctor, Sarah believes strongly in the power of education, and strives to arm her patients with the knowledge they need to take charge of their health. She is passionate about collaborative care, both in terms of the patient-doctor relationship, and in terms of working alongside other members of a patient’s healthcare team to ensure that they receive the best possible treatment and outcomes. She enjoys working alongside her patients to help them their goals in a way that works for them as an individual. Dr. Sarah is passionate about establishing the fundamentals of healthy living.
