I'm available Monday-Friday's, all day every day to take care of your walking needs! I'm happy to provide my own treats and toys where necessary, or if your dog would prefer what they're familiar with (they're a fussy bunch!) then please advise me! I've always loved dogs and grew up with them in Kent. Many happy days have been spent taking long leisurely strolls in the countryside with a dog by my side. Come rain or shine, I love to be outside, and find no greater pleasure than having a dog by me legs or scampering off in front. As well as owning dogs I did a few months stint in Battersea Dogs Home so I'm well versed in the correct body language and the delicate nature of some dog's temperaments. My belief is that dogs are social and intelligent animals and shouldn't be treated as such. A long walk can make the world of difference to an unruly pup, and an extra hand is provided by me to ensure that your pet has the best quality of life possible, even when you're not around! I will never attempt to overtake your role as pack leader but I am available to you for pack support! I've recently left the commuting rat race to pursue my passion full time so day or night I am available! Sadly at present I am unable to own my own pooch but I aim to rectify that as soon as possible! I'm available for walking, playing, rough housing, blowing off steam, socialising, feeding, treating, and loving! I think it's important to get along with both you and your pup so I am always open to a conversation to discuss special requirements for your or your dog in advance and will certainly aim high to please you both equally! If you're dog needs walking, if you need a rest, if your dog needs feeding, or even some overnight care then please contact Andy's Walkies on 07515 721938! LOOKING FORWARD TO WALKING FOR YOU!
I love the relationship between mankind and dog. There's absolute truth in the saying "a dog is a man's best friend." I love walking with a dog at my side, both of us exploring and learning the countryside better. I feel a certain wholeness when with a dog, their unconditional trust and love never fails to warm my heart. Dog's are very much like people, the getting to know each other stage is fun and exciting, but the comfort of knowing and trusting each other as friends is enormously fulfilling. Aside from dogs I'm also a lover of the outdoors in general, almost as much as the dogs...! Living in Hertfordshire offers some great walks but without fail they can be improved by a dog!
I became increasingly disenchanted with the commuter rate race but am sadly years away from retirement! After 7 years commuting to and from London, I know that my heart belongs to the countryside. The humdrum and competition of London has little to no appeal and I realised that even at a young age I was burning myself into the ground.
I made the difficult decision to quit my job to start my own venture - Dog walking! I know it won't be easy, I know it will be wet, I know it will be cold, and rainy, (sometimes hot... if we're lucky!) but I know it will be the most satisfying thing I could do. I've toyed with this idea for a few years but have finally taken the leap and decided to give this my all.
I believe dogs are social and intelligent animals and should be treated as such. I know how frustrating it can be to be cooped up but for a lone dog all day I can only imagine how easily they can become fed up! I want to ensure that no dog is left feeling this way and that by the end of the day they're ready for a well earnt rest!
I will never attempt to replace you as pack leader - you are the boss! But I'm happy to be a stand in second in command to offer support when needed. I believe it's important that me, you, and your dog all get along so I'm always open to discussing special requirements with you or even meeting your dog in advance to get to know each other!
I'm young, energetic, and ready to walk for you!
How much does a Dog Walker cost?
The price of hiring a dog walker will depend on the area of the UK in which you live, with prices typically higher in the South of England and particularly in London. The cost of hiring a dog walker will often be lower in the North of England and in Scotland and Wales.
What should I look for in a Dog Walker?
The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.
How many dogs can a Dog Walker walk at once?
It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
