I recently used bark to find a catering company for my mums funeral/wake. It was an incredibly tough time and the last thing I wanted to think about was arrangements and menus etc. I put my details in and how many I wanted to cater for and CAMEO CATERERS came back to me the next morning saying they were available and provided the cost and menu without me asking. They were fantastic from start to finish and even made homemade scones,cream and jam which were my mums favourite. They organised everything and made it totally stress free for us. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Lee, Dave (sorry I think it was Dave) and the team at Green Apple who provided the catering for the Chepstow Harriers Running Club Xmas Do last night. Right from the start, you guys were super friendly, helpful and accommodating to our needs. You arrived bang on time and delivered on everything you promised and more. The food provided was a mix of vegan and traditional (normal) and I had people coming up to me all night raving about the quality and variety on offer - there was more than enough to go around. I was also really impressed by your attitude and ethos towards recycling and the environment. Lee even went above and beyond the call of duty and helped carve some meat (provided by other suppliers) for me - that was hugely appreciated. Thanks again guys, you really exceeded all expectations and provided amazing food and awesome customer service. Will definitely be in touch with any further catering needs. Recommend, recommend, recommend!! Thank you again.

PETER WILLIS TELLS THE THE DOUGLAS WILLIS STORY:
In the 1940s Douglas Willis my grandfather founded our first “grocers” shop selling fresh game. A little bit later he moved in to a butcher’s shop and rented a farm with the ideology of supplying meat from pasture to plate, which is still maintained today.
We have beef from our very own herd of Welsh cattle and also Welsh lambs from our own and local farms in the beautiful Usk valley and we source the finest poultry and game from handpicked producers to ensure the principles of care and quality is maintained throughout.
In 1961, my father David joined the business. A few years later our business expanded to include 3 local retail shops.
In 1986 I joined the company working with my father in our retail shops. In the late 80’s my father started the wholesale catering side of the business, providing meat to local businesses. My brother Sean joined the wholesale side in the 1990’s.
The original ethos established by my Grandfather of “Never compromise quality or service and you will always have customers.” is still maintained today.
Our long term goal has always been to provide high quality locally produced meat to a sustainable customer base ensuring customer loyalty and satisfaction.
The natural progression for our fresh meat shops was to offer “food to go” and outside catering, so Douglas Willis Retail expanded in 2010 and now provides a fresh and exciting takeaway food experience along with a Speciality Catering Service – the complete eating experience.
