What do you love most about your job?

I love seeing people changing their whole perception of life and becoming free spirits.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I came from a place of hardship, suffered child trauma and went on to a marriage with 13yrs of domestic violence. My now ex husband is a recovering dependent alcoholic. When I left my marriage with 2 children I felt lost alone and broken. Its only the things I teach now that saved me. I tried many types of counselling only to keep slumbering back into dark places. Using the techniques I use now changed my life. I went on to train the exact things that changed my life in hope of helping others do the same.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have experience in being in the lowest depths of despair, I have been in the darkest of places, I have experience of domestic violence and being in a narcissistic relationship, I have 13yrs experience of living with an addict and have learnt all the behaviour thoughts and fears that come from addiction from both sides. I am a survivor myself and I thrive everyday to help people become the best version of themselves. I increase my knowledge with courses and certifications throughout every year to keep my mind fresh and confident in what i do.

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
