What do you love most about your job?

The joy of seeing genuine progress and the confidence it brings. I love showing each student just how far they've come since our first assessment. We are so passionate about what we do because we see the incredible impact it has for so many of our students.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I taught in primary, secondary and specialist provisions for over a decade. I felt this experience was a perfect fit for the Kip McGrath tuition programme. The opportunity to open the Dundee centre became available, and since opening our centre in September 2017, we haven't looked back. Our centre now supports many students across Dundee, Angus, Fife and Perthshire.

Why should our clients choose you?

We have years of success in making sure our students become the confident, independent learners they have the potential to be. The development of key skills happens because we get the right balance between teacher input, practice and mastery. Our 80 minute lessons are highly structured and designed to ensure progress and results. We follow this with carefully planned homework tasks and offer support throughout the week between sessions. We carefully track progress and feedback regularly to parents and students. We'll show you exactly what we've covered, and how they've got on.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, our specialist tutoring programme has been delivering online learning for over 7 years. Students can access their learning conveniently and safely online, wherever internet access is available.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Our centre has completed full health and safety risk assessments to ensure student and staff wellbeing. We operate a one way system, with all learning stations appropriately distanced. We have robust hand hygiene and cleaning protocols in place and require all staff, students and parents to wear face coverings whilst in the centre. Our in-centre learning is only available when government guidance allows us to resume sessions. Until such time, we are delivering all our sessions online.
