My lessons are fun and tailored to my students' interests. There is a world of music out there and it's important to explore it in the learning process. I travel to my students' houses rather than teaching from a studio, and highlight the importance of daily piano practice to maximise students' potential. I also encourage regular performance to help students become accustomed to playing in front of an audience.
Trained at Cambridge University and the Royal Academy of Music, I have 20 years of experience teaching classical piano to children from aged 4 (a good age to start!) to adults (never too late - some of my most accomplished students started aged 30+!), from complete beginners to diploma-level. I teach in English and/or French, online and in person, in Greenwich and in Cambridge, Mondays to Saturdays during term time.

I absolutely loved having Tabitha as my piano teacher. She is definitely by far the best piano teacher I've ever had and I miss being taught by her but don't live in the same area anymore! It was thanks to her that I got a distinction in my A-Level music performance exam (playing pieces from the Grade 8 syllabus). She is an incredibly talented musician herself which is really inspiring, and she has wonderful ideas about how to improve and how to practice. She is patient, warm, engaged, intelligent, funny, and self-deprecating, and it's a joy to be in her presence!
Award winning pianist offers fun and professional piano lessons. I have individual approach for each student. I have experience preparing pupils for exams, festivals, competitions and concerts. My goal is to keep student excited about piano playing. There is no one method for all. If student likes something and is excited to reach goals they will do more work to achieve it. I held Masters degree in piano performance and pedagogy.

Anthony has been professional from the start, meeting us to discuss what we wanted and listening to the children play and playing for us too. He is friendly and his enthusiasm rubs off on the kids who think he’s great. Each week he provides notes on their lesson and what they should be working on. During COVID he has been having weekly Zoom lessons with the kids and they are really enjoying this.
He is always punctual and would always give me plenty notice of any potential issues.
My children have gained music exams under his tutelage. Anthony phoned to speak to the kids after their exam to see how they got on which was really kind and appreciated by the kids.
I would definitely recommend Anthony and only wish we’d met him sooner!

Mark has been teaching me and my daughter guitar for a few years now and we really enjoy his lessons. He is very patient with us both and always takes the time to explain and assist whenever we have questions or get stuck. Although we currently have online lessons due to lockdown, Mark keeps the lessons varied, educational and fun. I would highly recommend Mark as a superb music teacher.

My name is Adam, and I’m a Pianist, Musical Director and Composer! I have been working with Jazz Bands, Solo Vocalists, Musical Theatre productions and other Classical ensembles for over 10 years. My musical experience is extremely wide and varied and I am very proficient in Classical Music, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Pop! The core principal of my teaching is understanding the music we play- talking about whats going on in the music and recognising patterns in harmony and rhythmic feel which can be related to other pieces and musical genres.

I love teaching people about music, my biggest passion in life. It brings me great joy to pass on my knowledge and see my students have fun playing music. I also really love working with a wide variety of students and understanding their story and what brought them to study music.
I worked in a variety of other businesses before, picking up skills along the way. In these businesses I learnt what worked well, and what I felt I could do better. I started teaching alongside this job, and eventually quit my job to go completely freelance. It was a risk, but I worked incredibly hard to build up my reputation and connected with other businesses in the local area. Despite the pandemic, 5 years on I'm still going strong.
I have a very individualistic approach to teaching my students. I believe that hard work and regular practice is fundamental to success of course, like with any skill, but I also believe it's vital that my students have fun, and feel like they can incorporate their own interests into their lessons. This way, I tailor my lessons to the individual student, whilst also teaching the core skills including scales, sight reading and listening. From a safety standpoint I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and undergo safeguarding training with the NSPCC for everyone's safety and wellbeing.
Yeah I do teach online as well as in person. I can offer lessons on Zoom, Skype, Facetime and WhatsApp video.
I take regular lateral flow tests to ensure I do not have the virus. I use hand-gel before entering anyone's house. If I come into anyone with Covid-19 I isolate for 7 days and continue teaching online, taking regular tests before teaching in-person again.
