About

My lessons are fun and tailored to my students' interests. There is a world of music out there and it's important to explore it in the learning process. I travel to my students' houses rather than teaching from a studio, and highlight the importance of daily piano practice to maximise students' potential.

Natasha has been teaching my daughter since Jan 2022. Her patience and consistency works well in encouraging my daughter to passionately love playing the piano. She cleared her Grade 1 - pre test in Nov 23 on merit and the credit for this goes to Natasha. My daughter enjoys her piano lessons with Natasha and feels very comfortable and herself in Natasha’s presence. Look forward for her next milestone of doing her Grade 1 and many more. Thanks Natasha ❤️ More...

Natasha has been teaching our two children since September 2018 (they are currently 8 and 6). The children have been making good progress with Natasha (they were complete beginners) and very much look forward to their lessons. Natasha has an excellent manner with them and keeps us well informed about their progress. She clearly cares about them and their progress and she makes the learning experience enjoyable. Certainly the kids are often keen to practise rather than be forecd into it!

Natasha is very pleasant and professional and we would recommend her without any hesitation.

Natasha has been teaching 2 of my children (10 and 13) and I piano for over a year now. She strikes the right balance between keeping us all progressing at the right pace based on our individual skills and being patient when needed (we were all beginners). She is very reliable and covers both piano theory and chords etc with a mixture of classic tunes and anything else we have an interest in learning. We are all preparing for grade exams in the summer! We would highly recommend Natasha. More...

We found Natasha at a difficult time between teachers and my son was hoping to sit for his grade 3 piano exam. We were instantly really impressed by how organised and approachable Natasha was when she came to our house for the first lesson. She set out both achieveable and more challenging goals for the next lesson, making it very clear, giving some good advice on how to make practising more fun! Her encouraging approach helped my son actually want to practice and show that he could succeed, especially in sight reading (his weakness) learning more about how to really understand the dynamics of pieces to show more expression. He's become great at performing his pieces now. He went on to achieve a distinction for his grade 3, then a distinction for grade 4. We are so lucky to have found Natasha. She's brought out the musician in my son! More...

Natasha taught my 14year old son to prepare him for the grade 5 theory exam. She was obviously talented as both a musician and a teacher. Q&As

I love teaching people about music, my biggest passion in life. It brings me great joy to pass on my knowledge and see my students have fun playing music. I also really love working with a wide variety of students and understanding their story and what brought them to study music.

I worked in a variety of other businesses before, picking up skills along the way. In these businesses I learnt what worked well, and what I felt I could do better. I started teaching alongside this job, and eventually quit my job to go completely freelance. It was a risk, but I worked incredibly hard to build up my reputation and connected with other businesses in the local area. Despite the pandemic, 5 years on I'm still going strong.

I have a very individualistic approach to teaching my students. I believe that hard work and regular practice is fundamental to success of course, like with any skill, but I also believe it's vital that my students have fun, and feel like they can incorporate their own interests into their lessons. This way, I tailor my lessons to the individual student, whilst also teaching the core skills including scales, sight reading and listening. From a safety standpoint I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and undergo safeguarding training with the NSPCC for everyone's safety and wellbeing.

Yeah I do teach online as well as in person. I can offer lessons on Zoom, Skype, Facetime and WhatsApp video.

I take regular lateral flow tests to ensure I do not have the virus. I use hand-gel before entering anyone's house. If I come into anyone with Covid-19 I isolate for 7 days and continue teaching online, taking regular tests before teaching in-person again.

Services

I deliver fun and engaging private piano lessons for beginners up to grade 8 level, focusing on technique, scales, sight reading and pieces/songs. I teach students from all ages and backgrounds, for ABRSM and Trinity exams and for general enjoyment.

Lots of students find theory quite dull! But I love theory and so ensure lessons are fun and exciting for my students, by making them interactive, using engaging books and resources and setting challenging yet achievable tasks and homework.
