What do you love most about your job?

Not everyone is lucky enough to fulfil their passions in life. And although we hold regular day jobs, the excitement of being able to travel the length and breadth of the U.K, getting to visit people from all backgrounds and exploring some breathtaking locations along the way, is truly a dream come true for every member of the team. We do not try to fool ourselves into thinking that we will be successful in this field, but we are serious about what we do and that is to gather evidence of the paranormal.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Hazel Williams (Head of Investigations) - My fascination with the world of paranormal research began in the early 1970’s when introduced to TV programmes ‘The Mysterious World of Arthur C Clarke’ and ‘Project Blue Book’. From then on in, I was hooked. Growing up in London with its dark history and its plentiful ghost stories would provide myself with the tools I needed to later form Spectrum.

James Williams (Head of Operations) - The paranormal has always interested me deeply. Trying to solve all the unanswered questions, is what has held my fascination on this subject. I remain sceptical when investigating and will do always. Until I cannot prove otherwise.

Dean Williams (Head of Social Media) - I've been fascinated with “ghosts” ever since the age of 3. I was never the same after watching the film Ghostbusters. Most children dream of becoming a Policeman, Fireman etc. I wanted to be a ‘Ghostbuster’. So, when the opportunity arose to join a team such as this came to fruition, my childhood dream would come true. So, as you could imagine, I snapped it up.

Dean Morgan (Field Investigator) - My introduction into the world of paranormal research, was when I was invited along by James to Hazel's house for an interview. I went with an open mind and thought it would only be a bit of fun. But after spending time discussing the subject, it would open a new chapter in my life that has grown into a passion.

Why should our clients choose you?

Well, we would like to point out that anyone armed with a camera etc can claim to be a 'ghost hunter'. But for us, as personally advised by the late Maurice Grosse (The Enfield Poltergeist). An investigation should be kept "Structured, basic and completely evidence based. A team should be judged by its findings and feedback, NOT by the amount of equipment compiled or locations visited. Aim to be known as investigators or researchers, not hunters!".

Below is our mission statement. Three strict guidelines that we feel separates us from the multitude of paranormal teams out there.

The foundation of any case study that we undertake, is treated as a blank canvas. We will judge and determine the significance based on our own findings.

Once we determine that the case has substance, we then follow a strict set of guidelines and protocols in sequential order. This will enable us to collect the data needed to add validity to the case study.

We take into account all factors associated with previous reports, relating to any possible evidence gathered by other sources. Yet we will only present evidence that we deem significant enough to be put forward in our name.
