I love seeing women realise their power and capabilities, and literally build the life they've dreamed of. To see them doing that (optimising their relationships, businesses, lives etc) without compromising their own wellbeing (as so many women do) is deeply fulfilling. Witnessing possibilities open up for them, where before they were feeling stuck, dull or exhausted and 'trapped' is so inspiring. I love to see how they shift out of that energy, shed old patterns and beliefs, take ownership and realise that anything is possible for them if they want it enough. Suddenly, then, everything begins to unfurl for them in such an incredible way and life becomes this multi-dimensional masterpiece that they get to create!
Having been in that place of feeling 'trapped' in the life I had as a professional chef, I know what it's like to put all the demands of others above my own needs, and also the repercussions of living life that way. Exhaustingly long hours, unsociable shifts patterns and through-the-roof levels of stress pushed me to burn-out. I had anxiety, was exhausted yet wired and unable to sleep, I was not eating well or honouring my needs in any way, and as a result, I couldn't think straight, focus or regulate my moods. But somewhere within the fog, a part of me knew that there was more to life and that it was on me to make the changes I craved. There was a fire in my belly, a primal power that I managed to tap into, that carried me through some deep unraveling of my past beliefs and world-view. I realised that I had the choice to live whatever life I wanted to live, and that, truly, everyone does. It became my mission to support other people to step into their power and actively create their desires, rather than just wishing and waiting for them to show up. I began doing this through Yoga teaching, and then, through my own personal development journey, I discovered the power of coaching. Instinctively, I knew it was the key to facilitating huge shifts in people and helping them to grow and blossom. I want to see a world of empowered, aware, ethical action-takers, and I honestly believe consciously working on myself and aiding others to also do so are the keys to creating that. A lot of coaching is only results-oriented - as in supporting clients in setting goals and holding them accountable. This works well up to a point, however, to create lasting change, I use the Transformational Coaching Method, where I work on a deeper level with clients, creating shifts in how they view themselves and the world. In doing this, cultivating the new habits/outcomes they desire and making them permanent becomes inevitable. This removes the need for willpower and creates a new baseline where the desired outcome is simply their new way of being, without them having to try to be different. Through different techniques, I help the people I work with to connect to their own inner strength, to trust themselves and their abilities, meaning they are empowered to continue creating their life as they want it, even after we have completed working together.
