Due to my thai boxing background my style of training tends to differ to your average personal trainer. Treadmills...bikes...cross trainers...resistance machines....most people are bored of the same old routine...
I have well over 20 years thai boxing experience, ive fought professionally both in Thailand and nationwide winning several titles along the way and retiring rank no.
The best P.T outside of Thailand you’d every get and actually better than a lot of training you get there
Gintas, through his extensive training and study has proven time and time again to many students they are able to achieve their personal fitness goals at any level - from beginner to those competing at professional level.
For many years Gintas has built up a dedicated and loyal student base that range from professionals in the forces, city workers to musicians, martial artists , professional fighters, business owners, mothers and children.
I've been attending the class for a little over a year, there's always something new to learn or refine what you've previously been shown.
Knowing a martial art system is a must skill set to have in this day and age (you could say unfortunately), because of the Hakudakan class, I have the confidence to not be that worried in any street situation. The Hakudakan class syllabus is layered in bite sized chunks, so the moves are easily absorbed. The higher level students have all been to other classes, but when they find this class, they stay, Sensei Barry always has something new to teach even them.
Highly recommended, great Martial arts club, great atmosphere, great value.
I've been training with sensai Kelly now for over 4 years, not only Is he a very knowledgeable individual when it comes to self defence but extremely approachable. The class and the students are very respectful and warming to new comers. I would highly recommend this class to male and females looking to up there fitness and get a realistic direct approach to self defence.
My Son and daughter attend have both attended Iruka for a number of years. Unlike other clubs, Barry and Carol run this for the love of Judo, not to make a profit / living. That's not to say the quality of the class is lessened, if anything it's an improvement compared with other more expensive options we tried before. Both kids absolutely love attending, it is a fun, 100% safe experience that will push your child onto whatever level they / you want (them) to achieve. Whether attending just take part or for those with aspirations of black belt / competition, they have the experience and knowledge to cater for both. Fantastic support provided at competitions, this club is a credit to the sport of Judo.
