I joined this club because the instructors were very good at teaching and understanding to any issues you may have and help at all steps. Your not just a group of students they treat everyone as an individual when it comes to helping you with your stances and movements be it Khion, Kumite or Kata. I would recommend this club to anyone be it adult or child it has a second family atmosphere. One of the only clubs that take children from the age of 3 and teaches everyone no matter what your age size or race. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I love teaching new people how to defend themselves from the nasty people that are out there .
What inspired you to start your own business?
My parents started their karate club when we all trained to Black Belt in 1978 when my parents passed away I took on the club in their memory.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are a family run club and have been est since 1978 so have the skills to teach Shotokan Karate how it should really be taught . We don't treat our members as cattle but encourage individual strengths and weaknesses. We offer trials to give you a taste of Karate before you join .
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
You can apply online www.sjkkarate.co.uk we have trials from 1 to 5 weeks, if you wish to join after this time we have great packages that include karate suit and everything you need.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have made sure that if any one is ill that they do not train.
Karate trials
We offer 1 -5 week trials at a low price so you can have a taste of karate .
As the proprietor I recommend at least 3 weeks to give you a good feel of the Japanese art. We don't allow bullying and encourage good character as a part of your lesson.
