Seeing students become more confident, more empowered and improved in their challenges they first had prior to joining.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I began teaching Taekwon-Do to individuals with disabilities in 2006 while still in high school. Little did I know that this initial step would blossom into a lifelong passion and career. After graduating, I expanded my efforts by opening an evening class, which quickly grew in popularity.

My work extended to various schools, where I found immense satisfaction in helping children from low-decile backgrounds. This journey led to the establishment of NZ ITF Taekwon-Do, an organization now boasting over 500 members across Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, and Northland.

We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of the original ITF Taekwon-Do, and we are proud of the progress we’ve made. Our commitment to excellence drives us to continue pushing forward, ensuring that our inclusive and supportive environment fosters growth and achievement for all our members.
