What do you love most about your job?

I love working directly with the client and helping them to become their best version. I also see the direct positive ripple effect the results have on the clients family and friends. It's an amazingly rewarding job!

What inspired you to start your own business?

I've always enjoyed working with people. In my previous careers I've worked as a Housing officer and also spent nearly 20 years as a Police Officer before medical retirement.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a particular type of therapy that appealed to me as it's based on Neuroscience and incorporates both Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy, an extremely powerful combination.
I completed my training with the world renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) which run a Diploma course which is seen as the 'Gold Standard' in Hypnotherapy.
Running my business enables me to help people rediscover their 'real self' and when I see the results my clients achieve it gives me a great sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that it has not only helped them but also the client's family.

Why should our clients choose you?

I truly believe in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and have seen at first hand the impact it has had on my client's lives. I am Passionate about helping people achieve becoming the best version of them self.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I mainly work online via Zoom or Facebook Messenger. I can also work face to face for clients within a 10 mile radius.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Working remotely has enabled clients to remain at their own location and therefore remain safe from Covid 19.
For face to face sessions the normal precautions applicable at that time would be adhered to. The clients wishes and requests are always respected.

Hypnotherapy FAQs

Expand all

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the hypnotherapist holds.

Your professional hypnotherapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted hypnotherapist today.

Firstly, you'll have a conversation with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree on what methods your therapist will use. Afterwards, the hypnotherapist may lead you into a deeply relaxed state using agreed methods to help you towards your goals. For example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit gradually bring you out of the trance.

You are fully in control when under hypnosis and don't have to take on the therapist's suggestions if you don't want to. If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state. Most people expect to be put to sleep or to forget what happened afterwards but the opposite is true. You're fully aware the whole time of what is happening.

This is dependent on both your hypnotherapist and your circumstances. One-off services such as smoking cessation or gastric band hypnotherapy can last around two hours, while a general hypnotherapy session will usually take about an hour.

The duration of therapy will really be dependent on your circumstances and issues. Some people may require a longer-term approach with regular weekly sessions. Your hypnotherapist will let you know how many sessions they feel you might need when you start therapy and will be flexible when it comes to decreasing or extending the number of sessions according to your progress and needs.

There are currently no guidelines in place stipulating the training and qualifications a hypnotherapist must have in order to practice. Industry guidelines recommend that individuals should have completed at least an appropriate diploma or have completed a course that involved a minimum of 450 learning hours, of which 120 hours must have been face-to-face.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their hypnotherapy services.

Hypnotherapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with anxiety, depression, anxiety, PTSD, obesity, addictions, fear of flying, public speaking, stopping smoking, insomnia, weight loss amongst others. When combined with methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), valuable healing work can begin as quickly as one or two sessions.

You might be surprised to hear that hypnotherapy can be delivered remotely over the phone, through an online video chat platform, or with pre-recorded sessions sent by email.
