Mind's Eye Hypnotherapy

Hi I’m Ann. I decided to train as a hypnotherapist because I personally found it the most relaxing and healing therapy I had ever experienced. It is like a massage for the brain and it changed my life. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your problems and we will focus on the best way forward for you to overcome whatever has got in your way, whether that be anxiety, sleeplessness or weight issues. I will help you find the tools you can use in your everyday life. After a course of hypnotherapy with me, a client stated “I feel like someone has hit the reset button on my life, I feel like the best me again”. I have a diploma in Solutions Focused Hypnotherapy, am fully insured and a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Association of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. You can find me here on Bark or at https://www.mindseyehypnotherapy.com Please get in touch, I would love to hear from you.

What do you love most about your job?

I love meeting and helping people - getting to know clients and helping them reach their goals. I love empowering my clients by explaining all about the wonders of the brain/body connection. There is so much fascinating, scientific research which can help people to understand why they are suffering and ways they can take control and start enjoying their lives again. We are all different and therapy is tailored to each individual client. Most of all, it’s just wonderful seeing people happier, feeling better in themselves, enjoying their lives and looking forward to their futures.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Initially it began with me acknowledging that something wasn’t right in my life. It was one of those ‘perfect storm’ times in a life where I had too many things to cope with, teenage children, a busy job, problems with the job, study, illness in the family. But of course, I kept going! Taking a course on mindfulness helped me to see that I wasn’t coping and wasn’t happy. There were reasons I was bursting into tears all the time.
Listening to hypnotherapy tracks helped me to reprogram my mind. The desire to spread the word about this wonderful way of healing inspired me to retrain and qualify as a solution focused hypnotherapist. I didn’t really think of myself as starting my own business but I needed to spread the word somehow so Mind’s Eye Hypnotherapy was born.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy can easily be provided remotely, in fact, a lot of people prefer relaxing in their own home without having to travel to a location. More details about remote hypnotherapy can be found on my website
https://www.mindseyehypnotherapy.com/onlinehypnotherapy
I also have a treatment room in my house in Upton, Chester. It is a very relaxing, calm, quiet space, perfect for working with clients.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Customer’s health and safety is very important to me. I take my guidance from my insurer, the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the National Council for Hypnotherapy. Both professional bodies have guidelines and advice to ensure clients safety.
If clients are still concerned then I would recommend online sessions.

Hypnotherapy FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the hypnotherapist holds.

Your professional hypnotherapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted hypnotherapist today.

Firstly, you'll have a conversation with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree on what methods your therapist will use. Afterwards, the hypnotherapist may lead you into a deeply relaxed state using agreed methods to help you towards your goals. For example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit gradually bring you out of the trance.

You are fully in control when under hypnosis and don't have to take on the therapist's suggestions if you don't want to. If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state. Most people expect to be put to sleep or to forget what happened afterwards but the opposite is true. You're fully aware the whole time of what is happening.

This is dependent on both your hypnotherapist and your circumstances. One-off services such as smoking cessation or gastric band hypnotherapy can last around two hours, while a general hypnotherapy session will usually take about an hour.

The duration of therapy will really be dependent on your circumstances and issues. Some people may require a longer-term approach with regular weekly sessions. Your hypnotherapist will let you know how many sessions they feel you might need when you start therapy and will be flexible when it comes to decreasing or extending the number of sessions according to your progress and needs.

There are currently no guidelines in place stipulating the training and qualifications a hypnotherapist must have in order to practice. Industry guidelines recommend that individuals should have completed at least an appropriate diploma or have completed a course that involved a minimum of 450 learning hours, of which 120 hours must have been face-to-face.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their hypnotherapy services.

Hypnotherapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with anxiety, depression, anxiety, PTSD, obesity, addictions, fear of flying, public speaking, stopping smoking, insomnia, weight loss amongst others. When combined with methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), valuable healing work can begin as quickly as one or two sessions.

You might be surprised to hear that hypnotherapy can be delivered remotely over the phone, through an online video chat platform, or with pre-recorded sessions sent by email.
