Rob Sanderson | Help Hypnotherapy

‘21 Certificate of Excellence

The Stress, Anxiety and Depression specialist. I'm Rob Sanderson, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I use 'Clinical Hypnotherapy' to help people who are suffering from all forms of anxiety, stress and depression to find peace, calm and happiness, and to improve their mental health. I use a tried and tested 'Solution Focused' approach that is packed up by many years of neuroscience research and data. It's a powerful mix of CBT and NLP psychotherapy techniques, combined with the speed of Clinical Hypnosis. This modern, science-backed therapy, treats most anxiety and stress-related problems in as little as 6-8 weeks. During the initial consultation, I will help you understand why you are feeling the way you do and more importantly what we can do about it. The following week, your journey into being anxiety and depression free begins, giving you tools to stay free from stress, anxiety and depression - permanently. I am a member of the AfSFH (Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists) and the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy) and adhere to their code of ethics and conduct which is your guarantee of discreet and professional service. I am fully insured and hold an advanced DBS certificate so can work with children and vulnerable adults.

What do you love most about your job?

What greater reward in life can one get than helping others? Helping people to grow and take control, is incredibly rewarding.

What inspired you to start your own business?

When my partner started to experience ill mental health I naturally looked at all ways of helping. My journey took me through becoming her carer, a mental heal first aider and eventually my desire to help others inspired me to become a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist. Our journey gives me a unique insight into stress, anxiety and depression, the effects it has on the sufferer and those around them.

Why should our clients choose you?

Specialising in stress, anxiety and depression means you will get the expert help you need for your specific problem.

If you are experiencing stress, anxiety or depression, or problems made worse by them, including low self-confidence, blushing and teeth grinding etc. I can help.

You'll benefit from:

• A fast and effective treatment
• Experience and knowledge of what works for your symptoms
• Personalised therapy, not an 'off the shelf' approach
• I understand your problem and the solution
• A long-lasting solution, not just a quick fix

This means you can make significant and positive changes in your life in a relatively short time.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, my hypnotherapy service can be delivered using Zoom, FaceTime, Skype or phone. Hypnotherapy has proved just as effective online as in person.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

My practice is sanitised between clients.
Sanitiser is provided on entry and exit.
Distancing measures are in place.

During any national or local lockdown, all appointments will be by zoom.

Hypnotherapy FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the hypnotherapist holds.

Your professional hypnotherapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted hypnotherapist today.

Firstly, you'll have a conversation with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree on what methods your therapist will use. Afterwards, the hypnotherapist may lead you into a deeply relaxed state using agreed methods to help you towards your goals. For example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit gradually bring you out of the trance.

You are fully in control when under hypnosis and don't have to take on the therapist's suggestions if you don't want to. If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state. Most people expect to be put to sleep or to forget what happened afterwards but the opposite is true. You're fully aware the whole time of what is happening.

This is dependent on both your hypnotherapist and your circumstances. One-off services such as smoking cessation or gastric band hypnotherapy can last around two hours, while a general hypnotherapy session will usually take about an hour.

The duration of therapy will really be dependent on your circumstances and issues. Some people may require a longer-term approach with regular weekly sessions. Your hypnotherapist will let you know how many sessions they feel you might need when you start therapy and will be flexible when it comes to decreasing or extending the number of sessions according to your progress and needs.

There are currently no guidelines in place stipulating the training and qualifications a hypnotherapist must have in order to practice. Industry guidelines recommend that individuals should have completed at least an appropriate diploma or have completed a course that involved a minimum of 450 learning hours, of which 120 hours must have been face-to-face.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their hypnotherapy services.

Hypnotherapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with anxiety, depression, anxiety, PTSD, obesity, addictions, fear of flying, public speaking, stopping smoking, insomnia, weight loss amongst others. When combined with methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), valuable healing work can begin as quickly as one or two sessions.

You might be surprised to hear that hypnotherapy can be delivered remotely over the phone, through an online video chat platform, or with pre-recorded sessions sent by email.
