Palliative care is specialised care for people living with a serious illness. Support is focused around making sure the patient is as comfortable as possible by reducing pain and stress. While some patients receive palliative care at a nursing home or group accommodation, some people prefer to receive it from their own home so that they can be around familiar surroundings and memories. This is known as palliative care at home.
