What do you love most about your job?

Seeing a dog grow in confidence either with ourselves or with their other doggy friends is so rewarding. Learning all the different characteristics of each dog and building a strong bond is what we love the most. Happy pets = happy customers = happy us!

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always absolutely adored dogs and all animals, and I also enjoy being outdoors and active. So I thought it would be the perfect business for me to set up!

Why should our clients choose you?

I am very reliable and also flexible with clients, I will always go above and beyond to ensure both the client and their pets are very happy. I wear a body cam for security purposes & all of our dogs will wear GPS trackers during the walks. I have also passed a full NARPS UK dog walking & pet care services business course.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Where possible we ask for the customer to release the dog into a garden area, so then we can use our own leads and collars, so this minimises any need for contact. If the customer is out at work, then we enter after a thorough hand wash, and again use only our own leads/collars.

The price of hiring a dog walker will depend on the area of the UK in which you live, with prices typically higher in the South of England and particularly in London. The cost of hiring a dog walker will often be lower in the North of England and in Scotland and Wales.

The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.

It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
