A Walk In The Bark

west yorkshire

Hi, I’m Miranda. My love for animals goes back over 25+ years. I’ve always owned animals, mainly dogs, ranging from Great Danes to Chihuahuas. Wherever I seem to go animals follow me - if it wasn't for my husband I’d take them all home!! Our family pets include, our rabbit, Mick - our skinny pig, Henry, Rolo, our Jack Russell - Rango, our lizard and Lola, Betsy, Vivienne and Baxter - our Chihuahua gang! Walking with my dogs brings me great pleasure - there’s nothing better than the look on your dog’s face when they’re out in the open, sniffing through the grass, enjoying the freedom. I believe every dog deserves that chance. Sometimes life just takes over and that’s where I come in. Please check the various tabs on my page for all the information you require. If you can’t find the answer you need feel free to message me and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

What do you love most about your job?

The best bit of my day has to be when i collect my dogs because i can see how happy they are to see me. I have quite a few rescue dogs who struggled with other dogs, but now they play and are confident as part of the pack walks this is amazing to see and gives my alot of job satisfaction, its wonderful to see a dog happy with a waggy tail.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My love for animals goes back to my childhood. I have always had animals mainly dogs but iv'e had reptiles, skinny pigs, hamsters, rabbits. You name it iv'e had it. Im the person who brings home a pigeon when it needed my help. i decided to start up myself after a few friends asking me to walk there dog. a year later we are still walking hand in paw with lots of extra friends.

The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.

It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
