What do you love most about your job?
What isn't there to love? Being outside in the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside with canine companions for company. I love being outside no matter the weather as I find walking with animals is very therapeutic. Its a special feeling when you are rewarded with a bond of total trust and love. Every dog is different and it's fun learning about each dog's own unique personality. No two days are the same.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In my previous job I was a children's educational special needs assistant but due to budget cuts within lots of, schools the job role has sadly changed quite a lot. This made me take the opportunity to pursue my passion for animals and so I set up my own business and I haven't looked back since. Working with owners and their beloved pets, I love every aspect on my role.
Why should our clients choose you?
I offer a flexible professional dog walking service designed to give your dog all the mental and physical, stimulation it needs whilst you're away from home. I offer 1 hour walks but if you require something longer or shorter please don't hesitate to ask.
I offer group dog walks with a small number of dogs, ensuring all dogs have been personality checked before being grouped together. Alternatively if your dog prefers to be walked on his/her own I can offer a one to one walk. Dog walking can be done on or off lead depending on your instructions. I'll leave your dog towel dried and happy, ready for your return.
All my customers at "Smithies Tails & Trails" will receive a free, no obligation consultation before agreeing to any pet service. I want to make sure your'e getting exactly the service you require, and it also gives me chance to meet your pet and start building our bond. I collect dogs from their home, after their walk they are dropped off cleaned and water bowls are topped up and happy to feed any meals needed.
Puppy Visits
Puppies are full of energy and need consistent breaks throughout the day. To ensure I meet your puppy’s needs, this service includes toilet breaks, playtime, food and water and most of all give them the attention they need!
30 minutes = £7
Small Animal Care
I can visit your home/garden to feed, water and clean out your Guinea pigs, Rabbits and Rodent cages. Making sure they have everything they need to be settled whilst you’re away.
30 minutes = £6
Group Walks
Group walks allow your dog to enjoy their walk whilst socialising and interacting with a small group of other dogs.
60 minutes = £10
Individual Dog Walks
Individual walks are recommended for dogs that are nervous, require some extra love or do not like enjoy walking with group.
60 minutes = £15
