Rose Garden Dog Walking

0772.196.86.26 - message now for more details! Hi, my name is Bri and I run Rose Garden Dog Walking which is based in Chislehurst and provides dog walking and pet visiting services to Chislehurst, Orpington and Petts Wood - plus surrounding areas. I have a BSc Hons 2:1 in Applied Animal Behavioural Science and Welfare which I achieved at Hadlow College, University Of Greenwich in 2017 and have over 5 years experience in dog walking and animal related industries. We accept all breeds and all needs meaning that we accept every dog from the most friendly to those needing more space and time dedication. Muzzled dogs are no problem regardless of the reason for muzzling. We also take on XL Bullies and other breeds listed on the Breed Specific Legislation of the Dangerous Dogs Act provided they have been exempt and follow all rules. It must be noted that RGK9 will not use aversive equipment such as prong collars or check/choke chains and all dogs must have a suitable collar or harness with an ID Tag attached. In terms of pet sitting, we accept all small/exotic animals and cats.

What do you love most about your job?

I love being around the animals and seeing their individual personalities. My favourite part of the job is working with dogs, cats and small animals whom are nervous that slowly begin to warm up to me and building that trust.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was a police officer for three and a half years which I enjoyed fully and thrived in, however l am now a long term carer for my Grandad and was unable to continue working within the police as family must come first. I was also subject to extreme stressors in the police and I wanted to get back doing what I love and working with animals, providing a service which makes the animals lives better as well as my own.

Why should our clients choose you?

I put your furry family members first! I treat your fur babies as if they were my own, I want to set them up for success and have positive interactions everywhere we can! I am also a proactive advocate for bull breed dogs as well as other misunderstood breeds. It is important that whilst in public with these breeds a slightly higher level of control is emitted as some behaviours can be misinterpreted and there is an unjust stereotype that all dogs of these breed will be aggressive. I aim to dispell this stereotype through positive interactions and education both in public and through my social presence.
