What do you love most about your job?

I love animals and to be able to work with them makes this the perfect job for me.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was a Veterinary student and completed 4 years, however due to financial circumstances I was unable to finish my degree. I felt I needed to do something about it because working with animals is what gives me happiness.

Why should our clients choose you?

I give personalised service, tailored to each customer and I do my best to make my customers and their fur babies happy with my services. :)

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

During Covid-19 pandemic we've changed some ways we run our pick ups and drop offs. We will not enter the house at all, dogs are picked up by the front door / porch area or back garden only. We use our own equipment such as collars, leads and harnesses and they are all made of biothane material, which is easier to clean and disinfect. Dogs are wiped with Leucelin on pick up and drop off during lockdowns. If a household is self isolating but with no symptoms, on top of it we will use face masks on pick ups and drop offs and hand sanitisers after pick ups. If there are symptoms or confirmation of covid-19, we only will walk the dog as a solo walk and it will be the last walk we do in the day as we cannot mix the dog with other households, cannot have the dog transported and have to clean and disinfect all equipment used after the walk.

We have invested in new and easier to clean and disinfect equipment to make it safer for us and our clients.

The price of hiring a dog walker will depend on the area of the UK in which you live, with prices typically higher in the South of England and particularly in London. The cost of hiring a dog walker will often be lower in the North of England and in Scotland and Wales.

The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.

It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
