Hello. I'm a qualified integrative therapist and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), working in private practice in central London and Queen's Park.
Prior to setting up my private practice I have worked in a GP practice and a university counselling service.
There is a growing awareness of the need to support our mental wellbeing.
I am a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, working in private practice in Bath. I am a certified member of the BACP (Registered member no. 374847) and a member of CAPPP.
My counselling approach is integrative, meaning that I combine a number of different theoretical methodologies. I am able to adapt my technique and approach to suit individual clients and their therapeutic aims.
As a Humanistic integrative Psychotherapist, I aim to work with a full range of influences to encourage the development of the individual, support their relationship to others and society.
I bring compassion, honesty and creativity to the psychotherapy process, facilitating exploration and expression of thoughts and feelings.
I aim always to work with integrity and at a pace that feels right for you.
People come to psychotherapy for many different reasons. I offer a safe, confidential and accepting environment in which to explore either specific issues or more general feelings of wanting to reflect and move forward.
Many issues can be explored and people bring whatever is important to them. These can include:
low mood and depression
stress and anxiety
losses, including bereavement
My approach is Humanistic-Integrative and my belief is that you are the expert on yourself. My role is to help you unravel your experiences and how they have shaped you as a person, looking at the ways in which you relate to others and how this effects your personal world.
I work in Private Practise and I have also spent time working as a Bereavement Counsellor for St Margaret's Hospice in Yeovil.
My name is Melanie Bloxham BA (Hons.), PG Dip (psychodynamic psychotherapy). I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and a Member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling. BPC registered therapists have under-taken the UK's most rigorous training. Whilst there are many psychotherapists and counsellors in Bath and Bristol, there are only a few with this standard of accreditation.
I offer a safe, supportive and confidential place to explore a variety of difficult emotional and personal issues. I work from an integrative framework and I tailor my approach around your needs and concerns. I have training in existential psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Together we will examine and assess the issue (s) that concern you in a holistic way by taking into account your past experiences, current circumstances and future aspirations.
Psychotherapy offers the opportunity for open-ended exploration of deep rooted difficulties and recurring problems, allowing you a safe space to express yourself fully and gain deeper insight into the issues you face; these may be specific difficulties or perhaps a more general search for fulfilment. Whatever your motivation to seek help, I understand it might seem a daunting process and finding the right person to talk to is of paramount importance.
Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy for rapid and lasting change.
My speciality is helping individuals release anxiety , negative emotions and fear; and supporting them to create a more useful way of being.
First,I will listen to whatever you need to say about the problem, however much or little. Then together, we can really clarify what it is you truly want to happen in terms of achieving your desired goals - i.
I offer one-to-one support and therapy in the areas of Depression, Anxiety, Confidence Building, Phobias, Trauma, PTSD, Addictive behaviour and more.
My website - http://eleve-counselling.co.uk - gives more details about the approach and will also show you examples of where my clients have received effective support and been pleased with outcomes.
I'm always happy to have a chat on the phone, for which there is no charge.
I needed to stop smoking in a hurry so although I had wanted to for a long time I hadnt really set a date. Knowing that I really had to stop suddenly - for health reasons - gave me a focus. I wasnt at all sure that I could do it but Colin was reassuring. I felt very supported during my therapy. When I stopped I was so motivated to stay 'clean' that I surprised myself ! Im now pleased to have been a non-smoker for 14 days and will never touch one again. Thank you so much Colin.
Marina makes me feel so comfortable. I can tell her about anything and she doesn't judge me, very responsive and helpful. Always supportive and non-judgemental.
I cannot say enough good things about her!
