Hi I'm Rebecca and I offer integrative therapeutic counselling. That means that instead of only offering one type of therapy, I have spent 8+ years training in a variety of techniques including traditional counselling (person centred), psychodynamic, CBT, creative therapy, solution focused and several others so that I can tailor the counselling experience to each and every client in the best way possible.

Practitioner: Rebecca
“I love working with Rebecca. The best bits about working with her is that she actually understands what you’re saying and going through. She doesn’t check her watch every five minutes like most counsellors do. She shows you she’s listening and makes you feel validated. I have had so many counsellors over the past few years. But none of them like Rebeccca. I knew after the first couple of sessions that I could really trust her and I knew it was safe to let my guards down. And it’s safe for me to say that I know once she’s graduated she’s gonna be such an amazing counsellor and help people change their lives for the better just like she did for me.”

Practitioner: Rebecca
“I have been working with Rebecca for coming up to a year now and she has helped me change my life massively.
Though discussing my problems and difficult experiences, Rebecca has shown me how I can deal with them differently. In doing this, I can protect myself from experiences that I find painful and move forward in situations that saw me going round and round in circles. Rebecca has helped my identify triggers and explained why I feel like I feel at times and we have looked at coping strategies. Things that I felt were small issues or silly that have played on my conscience for years, have been explored and I have been able to discuss them openly with Rebecca. Rebecca has shown me how to look at situations from a different perspective and not immediately fear the worst, which is a habit that I had got myself into.
Throughout my sessions, Rebecca has listened, been understanding and sympathetic to my feelings and needs. Not once have I found it difficult to open up to Rebecca and her words of encouragement have worked wonders in helping me find me again!”

Practitioner: Rebecca
“I have had a succession of appointments with Rebecca. There are so many things I would like to say, Rebecca has always made me feel completely comfortable and safe in our treatment environment. I always felt that I could express whatever was on my mind, I have been through many challenges and health problems and I started my therapy flitting from one problem to another and I generally felt out of control of my life and well-being.
Through my therapy I finally feel like I am on the right path going forward. I have the tools in place to try and work on my anxiety and from my sessions I have learnt so much about who I am. This has created a new turning point in my life. Rebecca’s skill set and professionalism have been invaluable to me during the time we have worked together.
Rebecca Hill is an amazing Counsellor and I would highly recommend her to anyone I know.
I wanted to show my appreciation for the time and treatment I have received.”

Practitioner: Rebecca
I shared childhood memories of standing in the playground at school watching the other children play. If anyone walked by me I’d pull up my socks, adjust my hair, walk around, anything to give the impression I was occupied, rather than waiting to be included in the games. On speaking about this with Rebecca I realised this was due to not wanting to appear vulnerable (in need of anyone).
Discussing my need for friends and the importance of interaction with people (reaching out to others rather than waiting for others to befriend me) is helping me to recognize opportunities where I can attempt to get to know people around me.

Practitioner: Rebecca
“I have been a client of Rebecca Hill since January 2015. I was given a personal recommendation to her to help me with a phobia which was distressing me greatly and impinging on my life.We met several times at her consulting rooms in Princes Risborough. This was a very pleasant and welcoming environment and the tea and cakes were most welcome and gave a friendly reassuring opening to each session.
I was very impressed by the way that Rebecca was able to disseminate all the information I gave her which at that time was probably in a rather garbled state. She was very much able to sort out that information into a form that she could use to explain to me how my mind was working and how the various “threads” all inter-twined. Over the sessions in her consulting room I became very much more confident that I could overcome my fears and get my life back on an even keel once more.
Whilst I was very emotional at times, Rebecca was able to remain calm and reassuring and did not get emotional herself or angry if I appeared to be rather negative at times. I feel it takes a great deal from a counsellor to be able to be empathetic without showing personal involvement as that would probably have reduced me into a worse emotional state. She is always professional in dealing with me. Her approach has always been positive and little set backs that I might have had have been turned into something positive to work with rather than another disappointment at not being able to deal with my phobia.
No matter what is going on in her own life Rebecca has never been anything but professional in all her dealings with me. She does not bring into our sessions any of the trials and tribulations that may be affecting her either personally or connected with her business. That to me shows a great strength of character. There has never been a time in our sessions when she is not 100% focused on me.
As I live almost 100 miles away from her our sessions now take place using Skype. These have progressed from weekly to six-weekly now. I have read of clients who have been in counselling for a long time and I can honestly say that I can not praise Rebecca enough for all that she has done for me so far. I value her professionalism, integrity, her common sense and above all our relationship very much. I hope that in one way or another she will be a part of my life for a long time to come.”

In July, 2019, I had a RTT session with Sarah-Louise to help me with my addiction with alcohol. At that time, I was struggling really bad and it was all I could do to go even 1-2 weeks without drinking. I was really nervous about RTT because I had no prior experience with Hypnosis and I really didn’t know what to expect. Let me say, any fear that you may have, please release. Sarah-Louise will make you feel instantly comfortable. The hypnosis session itself was quite similar to a trance meditation for me. This one session with Sarah-Louise was a major catalyst for lasting change my life. It was such an incredible experience that I still feel deep emotions when I talk about it. I have changed so much internally since RTT, it’s incredible. I trust Sarah-Louise and her skill completely and can’t recommend her enough.
