I offer a safe and reflective space, where you don't have to struggle with your difficulties on your own. Here you can explore what is going on for you. You can talk freely and are listened to. I will help you gain awareness, discover choices, heal and learn how to empower yourself. I charge £50.00 for a 50min session, an initial telephone call is free of charge. I work Monday to Friday and occasionally on a Saturday afternoon. Sunday is my rest day. I can help you with: Anxiety: My heart is racing. My breath is shallow. Stress: I feel overloaded. Depression: I have no energy. I lost motivation. Trauma: I do not feel safe anymore. Loss and Grief: Someone or something I had is gone. It has left an emptiness that hurts. Relationship Issues: Relationship(s) which could give me energy are actually using up energy. Stuck-ness: I am trying to find a solution, but I keep going around in circles. Confusion: My head is in a muddle. I need time and space to think. Overwhelm: I cannot cope. Self-esteem: I am not good enough Shame: I am unlovable. I am a mistake. Loneliness: I feel separate. There is no one I can talk to. No one understands me. Emotional Eating: I often eat food to help me feel better, so I can cope.

What do you love most about your job?

I love the exploring and the surprises. A tiny piece of a conversation can reveal so much about someones thinking and story. It's also interesting how we all react differently to life events and create our lives. Creativity is a big part of my practice, as is working with the body. When clients allow themselves to be curious, rather than being judgmental or on a mission, they can suddenly access so much more of who they are and what they can do. A client might come to me and feel that their anxiety is unreasonable and that they need to fix it. The moment the client allows themselves to be curious about their anxiety, they give themselves the space they need to find their own way to deal with it. I find this process of empowering people hugely exciting.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Counselling is often a private practice occupation as funding/ provision through the NHS/ Social Care is very poor and jobs are rare, very stressful and ironically leaving many practitioners burnt out. I don't want that for myself, just like I don't want that for my clients.

Why should our clients choose you?

I offer an approach that extends from the chair bound practice most practitioners offer. Whilst sessions are mainly word and talking based, sometimes words just don't cut it or they are not there, because our knowledge is based on experiences when we did not have any words. I try and foster an atmosphere of curiosity and spontaneity, where clients feel safe enough to break out of old patterns and try something new or different. Just like we all have different learning styles, we all have different ways of relating of what is around us and how to make sense of our world.

I take my self-development and being fit for practice extremely serious, so I can offer a high standard of practice.
