Hi, I’m Brian Fairchild, and I’m a 5* rated coach who specialises in supporting people to make positive changes to their working lives. If you feel stuck, frustrated, bored, overwhelmed or unmotivated at work, I can help you. You want to make a change, perhaps you are looking at new career options but don’t know where to start. How do you weigh them up? How do you know whether you are being realistic? Changing your career needs careful thought and planning. Having someone to help you through this, and with who you can have an honest conversation about your fears can make the difference between making a successful career transition or staying in the same place. The good news is that changing careers doesn’t have to mean starting at the bottom or retraining. People I have worked with have made significant improvements to their working life, often within a space of time. They have switched careers, increased their salary and regained control of their career. Please have a look at my reviews for some examples. My sessions help you develop insight into your situation – that ‘aha’ moment of why things are not working out the way they should. I will challenge you but also provide support, including a wealth of tools that will help you. I can also put you in touch with people in my network, including past clients, who can provide insight into particular industries or careers. On a practical level, I can help you with your CV and LinkedIn profile or provide practice with interviews. If this sounds like the kind of help you would like, please get in touch. I offer everyone the chance to experience my coaching for free through an initial coaching conversation. This is a genuine, no-obligation one-hour coaching session from which you will be able to identify at least three things you can do that will make a difference to your situation. If you want to take the coaching relationship further, then I will explain what's involved and the commitment I expect from you. I am so confident in my programme that I can guarantee that if you follow the programme and apply the principles you will get the results you are looking for - and I will work with you until you do, no matter how long it takes!

What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to make a difference to others! People who seek coaching are looking for support with an aspect of their lives that is unsatisfactory. Coaching is different from therapy or counselling in that it focuses on the future, and my role as a coach is to help my clients articulate what they want in the future and to take practical steps to get there. The most satisfying part of my job is getting feedback from clients about how their life has changed as a result of the changes I have helped them to make.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My background is in HR and learning and development. I trained with The Coaching Academy, the UK's largest coach training organisation and completed my training in 2017. I started coaching full-time in 2019, following my experience of losing my job twice in my 50's, I wanted to use my experience to help others in a similar situation to re-energise and rejuvenate their careers.
I am part of several coaching communities, including working with a coach who keeps me accountable and stretches me.

Why should our clients choose you?

If you are serious about changing your career, it pays to work with someone who can make a difference.

I am so confident in my 'Career Change Challenge' programme that I can guarantee that if you follow the programme and apply the principles that you will learn you will get the results you are looking for, and I will work with you until you do, no matter how long it takes! All I ask you to do is to commit to an initial four coaching sessions. If the programme is not working for you at the end of that time, I will only charge for the first month and refund the rest of the cost.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

My preferred way of coaching is through Zoom, although for people who live locally it is always nicer to meet face-to-face! I am flexible in using other systems, including coaching over the phone. My clients live across the whole of the UK and many of the people I work with have come to the UK to work or study.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Covid has presented many challenges but it has also created opportunities. Part of my approach is to help people to identify opportunities from setbacks. Not every cloud has a silver lining but being able to spot new opportunities in challenging situations is a skill that can be developed!
