What do you love most about your job?

I love couples who totally embrace their wedding, and I love it when couples are just as excited about the photos as I am.

What inspired you to start your own business?

At around 5 years of age I used to spend hours at home rummaging through our family pictures and be fascinated by the bright yellow envelopes marked “Kodak” stamped on them. From this early age I knew I wanted to take pictures forever and embraced my studying at Art College, gaining the “Student of the Year” (my only award ever !).

I got a real kick out of photographing my first wedding with the renowned and eccentric Herbert Hughes (The Beatles official photographer) who invited me to help him out then told me I was completely in charge. ! I was hooked !!! so having my own business is being in charge of my own destiny. I found that photographing two people in love on their happiest day is my niche.

Why should our clients choose you?

I should be chosen to photograph their wedding because I am passionate, creative, experienced, excellent at client interaction, artistic, emotional, assertive and not afraid to take on a new project.

I have a very critical eye which is a very useful tool when photographing a wedding. I am a Taurean, the great stabilizer of the zodiac ! and have an eye for beauty. I can think on my feet and seldom crumble under pressure and can rely on my independence and fortitude to get through a stressful situation. Nature and aesthetic beauty are very important to me.

I enjoy being outside looking for beautiful views or places that are particularly camera-friendly. I am happiest in an artistic space or when I can surround myself with objects that I find pleasing to look at. I am honest and a fiercely loyal, and have a strong endurance.

Every couple wants their wedding day to be the best day of their life. The job of a wedding photographer is to capture the memories and the emotions of your wedding day, so that you never forget it. Future generations will be able to look back on your wedding photos as a defining moment in history and feel the emotions of your day.

Although there is no requirement to have two photographers for your wedding, it allows more moments to be captured. For example, one photographer can be with the bride whilst she is getting ready whilst the other captures the arrival of the groom and the preparations for the ceremony. Having two photographers means that you’ll get shots that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise, and capture more memories of your special day.

The number of hours of wedding photography that you need depends on how much of your day you want to document, as well as the timing of your day. Most couples choose for the photographer to arrive an hour before the ceremony to capture the final preparations, and then stay until the end of the first dance. 6 to 8 hours of coverage is usually plenty for small to medium sized weddings.
